john117
Hmmm.... Sarah started recording the tapes at the end of T1 and she dies sometime between T2 and T3 (and recorded no other tapes assuming Sarah Connor Chronicles is not cannon in the T4 timeline). Also, one of the tapes he is listening to in T4 is the one she is recording at the end of T1 ("a person could go crazy thinking about all this..."). I'm still pretty convinced that John Connor is not aware of the events of T2 yet. But damn, Sarah is right, you could just go crazy thinking about it. and if thats not enough then go watch sarah connor chronicles .. thats one different timeline but depending on your interpretation it can fit nicely between t2 and t4 .. Nemo
watched SCHOOL OF ROCK last night. I wonder why i never watched it before. My god, it was amazing. It has the normal cliches (apart frm the ending) but like Coach Carter, it makes it work pretty smartly and ends up being wonderful. Love the kids (keep the dirty minds away) and Mr. Black. awesome, awesome movie. Edited July 10, 2009 by Nemo
Bulovski
Just got back from TF2. The critics can suck it. This was awesome. And then some. Giant robots+Isabel Lucas = WIN! Just give me Isabel Lucas - that's all I need and some shots of Megan Fox running (run Forrest Megan run) watched SCHOOL OF ROCK last night. I wonder why i never watched it before. Tyler
So I finally watched my most anticipated movie of this summer last night! The theater was packed and the audience was as excited as I was. First off, SCREW ALL CRITICS AND HATERS!! Honestly what were you people expecting? The movie was a pretty much all I expected from it and then some. Yes, the plot (or the lack of it) is asinine and full of holes. There are tons of things that don't make sense and some of the "humour" is cringe-worthy but the movie overall is as entertaining as a big budget action movie can get. What worked for me... THE EXPERIENCE... the movie has to be watched in a packed theater on a big screen. Trust me, that alone adds a lot to the movie. It's a popcorn flick and is meant to be seen that way. Watching it on one of your "dvd/scene/whatever rips" is simply not fair. ACTION... yes the movie tops pretty much everything in the first one. The entire third act is one humongous action sequence and Bay really throws everything he had in this one. It has to be seen to be believed. I really have not seen an action sequence of such an epic scale since the battle at Pelennor fields in Return Of The King. The VFX were flawless and the robot-on-robot fighting was MUCH improved over the first one. OPTIMUS PRIME... he simply kicked a*s in the movie. The audience cheered during his entrance and every time he kicked a Decepticon's a*s. MEGAN FOX... self-explanatory. She was hotter than the first movie and ran a lot.... in slow motion... MUSIC... Liked I've said many times before, I'm a huge fan of Steve Jablonsky and his score to the first film. I was very happy to hear most of my favorite themes reprised. Loved the "Nest" theme in the beginning. Awesome stuff. What did not work... The story... honestly, it was crap. The first one had a better plot (and that's saying a lot) and pacing. The editing in ROTF was all over the place. It seemed as if the scenes were cobbled together randomly in the first and second act. Isabel Lucas... really, she was not needed. She wasn't all that hot either... too skinny. That room-mate was also a totally unnecessary character. The jokes... LAME! really lame! We really did not need to see John Turturro's butt or Sam's mom going nuts after accidently consuming weed. Some of the gags worked but 90% of it was cringe-worthy. Still, despite the shortcomings I really loved the movie and can't wait to watch it again tonight! Now, as far as raping childhood memories or beloved franchises goes. Yes, I agree that this movie is like a giant spiked club shoved into the franchise a*s. I can understand why most fans are enraged by the movie. But these guys have to understand that it's a mainstream movie made for general audiences, not necessarily for geeks who obsesses over their collection of toys or grew up watching the G1 cartoon religiously. I like my nerd properties as much as the next nerd but I am still open to movies that take huge liberties with the source as long as the movie is entertaining to watch. Big movies are made to make money (same reason why the toys were made in the first place). It costs huge $$$ to make a movie like this and studios want to get them back and make more. They have to make the movie appeal to all types of audiences. Take movies like Speed Racer, Watchmen or Hellboy II... they were all awesome movies but stuck too closely with the source and are now counted among "failures". I'm now officially a part of the Bayformers Defense Force. Bring it on haters! Edited July 10, 2009 by Tyler
