imalreadyfor
Saw Potter The direction was quite good. The script was at par with the book. For me, the only potter movie worth the movie, and a few scenes are actually memorable. That, for me, is extraordinary given the bland additions preceding the prince. L33TWiZaRd
Say harry Puttar yesterday night. Lost a couple of hundred Brain cells while watching/ignoring it for for almost 3 hrs. Wouldn't watch the movie for free. It was so bad . And the acting was meh. They story was dull and the pacing was horrible. I'm pretty sure this is going to get nominated for a lot of razzies. 500 rupees down the drain . Burning the note with a lighter and watching it turn into ashes would have been more entertaining than this crap. The most over-rated movie of all time. Stay Away unless you are a kid who thinks Harry=God. P.S: I have never read the books and i thank god for that. Bulovski
Interesting comments about the movie and I respect your views - but WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU GUYS SMOKING? The movie is wonderful. First things first - this is a Harry Potter movie, it has to cater to a movie audience from 6+. So don't go in expecting the Dark Knight. While JKR has the liberty to do what she can, movies are more accessible and Warner Bros does not want to alienate their audience. From an adaptation viewpoint there are cuts, but all the movies have huge cuts from the books. I don't mind the differences also - because the movie faithfully portrays what the book wants to say i.e. the final battle is beginning and Harry Ron and Hermione are ready to go in. The screenplay is excellent, especially the way Malfoy's plot and the teen romances are interplayed. Malfoy's angst seems genuine and like Harry says at the beginning, he just sort of goes along. But all that changes in the end. Jim Broadbent and Alan Rickman are excellent in their respective roles - Slughorn's anguish and fear; and Snape ... well, we all know what Snape is going through. There is no time wasted on saying who is who, or filling up backstories. You must remember, the HP books and movies are not about action. They are school stories with a mystery behind them - the books hardly have any action apart from OOTP and DH. The best section in the whole movie is the finale - from the cave to the final murder. The cave scene is done well - and Gambon portrays Dumbledore exactly as I had imagined during this part. MAJOR SPOILER for those who haven't seen the movie The big change is obviously that Harry is not immobilized during the rooftop scene, and it is on Dumbledore and Snape's command that he remains quiet. This is a change I completely accept. Dumbledore knows that only Snape can help him, and he is telling Harry to listen to Snape. The final plea from Dumbledore and Snape's expression is good. I would have preferred more of the memories being shown, since they show the location of all the horcruxes. I loved the movie. Please remember that this is a school adventure movie and nothing more. Go in expecting Underworld or Twilight and you will be disappointed.

Grimmjow
if I hadnt read the book, I would probably have loved it. but as it turns out, since I knew the story, I didnt like the 2nd half of the movie at all. They wasted too much time on irrelevant things in the first half, and the 2 major scenes (Death of.... and when the half blood prince reveals his identity) were hardly more than a minute or so. also, didnt the Aurors fight the Death Eaters in Hogwarts in the book? wtf happened to all that ? TRMNTR
Saw HP6 yesterday. I'm a big fan of the series but the movie wasn't all that good. Still, 7.5/10.
Cyborg
Watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince today. The movie is excellent for those who have not read the book but for hardcore potter fans it really a dampener. I thoroughly enjoyed it nonetheless. Only complains are that they skipped a couple of very important sequences in the movie which links all the books together. Like the back story of the Half Blood Prince(that was freaking amazing in the book!) and obviously the fight agaisnt the deatheaters while they attacked Hogwarts. And a few more. These spoiled it for me, I was expecting more revolving around the Prince but since this movie is for all ages I think they did the right think by skipping that track. Anyways, I would give it a 6/10. Nothing much to cheer about for us Potter Maniacs. Made for a good saturday morning watch with my gf btw! The Lake Scene ws amazing, when Dumbledore sprays fire literally!
Shantz
Just saw "The Hangover" Pretty good. Liked it quite a bit. Its hard to find any dull moments in there. Though comparisons with Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle are totally unjustified. That is in a different league altogether..

Like the back story of the Half Blood Prince(that was freaking amazing in the book!) and obviously the fight agaisnt the deatheaters while they attacked Hogwarts. And a few more. yep.. totally. The word half blood prince was used at most thrice. first in the title, then in the book and then in the end snape comes and says "I am 1/2 blood prince, suck on it mutherf**ker..!!" without any rhyme or reason. It should have been handled better.
