Let me guess, the Paris chase. I kinda thought so. Although I heard the

Pit invasion

is supposed to be pretty good too.

The worst part is that, its an unnecessarily extravagant and prolonged sequence that ultimately amounts to ZILCH.

The other sequence you are referring to is so lame, its beyond belief.

I guess the movie can be summed up in one word - SUPERDUPERLAME.

I just have to say one thing. If the movie is supposed to be an accurate representation of the cartoon they I guess it succeeded based on what you're saying. The cartoon had ridiculous plots and even more ridiculous OTT situations.

I have watched almost all of the cartoon episodes. Trust me, this movie goes below and under the realm of flattery.

Its a prime example of compensating for the lack of script, story-boarding, acting talent and other essential ingredients, with an inflated CGI budget and then still trying to do more than budget for.

went to a GI Joe screening last night.

I'm suing for a full refund + psychiatric expenses + damages for the two hours of my life that I'll never get back.

on a more serious note.... did u like the trailer?? that would help dissect ur reaction a lil ;)

Anyway, there's no way I'm not not watching it. I just hope the multiplexes here are open on the 21st.
@MT thnx for lowering my expectations to almost null.

I'm just all pumped up for District 9 now , 16th I guess here , after the big budget debacles that've flowed for the past couple of the months.

I never said I wasn't going to watch it.

same here bro :P couldn't understand the movie

Read the graphic novel. The movie doesn't do a very good job of explaining the premise. Once you've read the novel you'll realize that it's a pretty decent adaptation.

The movie's biggest problem is that it got advertised as a super-hero action flick or at least people watched it expecting it to be one.

Saw Public enemies. Not bad, not great either. IMO, wait for the DVD, its not worth going to the theatre for.

It has its moments, there is a shootout thats very reminiscent of Heat (only not as good) and there is a small face off between Depp and Bale (again Deniro and Pacino in Heat come to mind but this one is too brief) but aside from that there isn't much that stands out. Bale is mostly wasted on a role that doesn't really have much range or scope. Depp's performance kept reminding me of DiCaprio in Catch me if you can. He has the charm and the presence but (for me) its still not one of his better performances, at times it feels like he is phoning it in.

Mostly it just made me wish I was re watching Heat at home.

BTW PVR Saket has to have the crappiest, most cramped seats I have ever seen in any theatre. And I have seen films at some total shitholes.
