I hate Eli Roth.

So did any sections feel like they were butchered by the censors??

nope...violence was 'kill bill' type...it was there but won't really make u flinch...its NOT the gory 'hostel' kinds

i hate eli roth too...(he looked like a monster in this movie :P

Or try this

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081505/

this is wat is real horror....now take ur +1 and shove em up ur a*s

Bro ,take it easy i was just expressing my opinion.I liked the movie because it didnt take itself too seriously.

It was more of a comedy with few scares in between.I have seen raimi's evil dead trilogy so i knew what to expect.

LTROI and shining are very good movies but belong to a slightly different genre than DMTH

Off the top of my head...

Have you watched Sunshine? It's quickly become one of my favorite sci-fi flicks. Great direction, cast and atmosphere. Disappointing third act but I can live with that. And it's simply beautiful in HD.

I just watched 'Octopussy' today and loved it. I think Roger Moore was the best actor who played James Bond! Even 'For Your Eyes Only' was amazing.

BTW, more than half of 'Octopussy' has been shot in India and some parts like

the villagers chasing Bond and shouting in Hindi when he escapes Kamal Khan's mansion

makes it appear like a proper Bollywood movie!

watched inglorious basterds...loved it

tarantino at his best....brad pitt at his over-the-top best

...and violence is not that gory...dont let keyo's comments spook u

p.s.: eli roth made an impressive entrance (well it wasn't exactly his first shot in the movie...but u'll know what i mean when u see it)...but the moment he opened his mouth it all went downhill for me :giggle:

Eli Roth may be a numbskull, but he's awesome in IB. EVERYTHING is awesome in IB. The violence isn't over the top for me at all, but then I was basing my advice on the rest of the guys here. It might come as a bit of shock if you don't watch too much genre fare.

Did anything seem like it was cut out?

I didnt really see anything overly brutal.

From what i gather there must have been a scalping scene that was censored.

The scene where the Bear Jew bashes someones head in with a baseball bat towards the beginning of the movie was intact however.
