Tyler
Landa was so totally in character (specifically slimy, no-good bastard) all the way through. Not to mention smart. He knew the Germans couldn't win even if he did save Hitler, so he chose the best option available to him, the sneaky rat. You forgot the swastika carving! They cut that out too. On second thought, you're right about Landa. And yeah, I forgot the swastika carving, I'm sure the "masterpiece" was a memorable one.
The JACKAL
watched district 9 last week, i knew that this movie was going to be good seeing all those imdb scores and all that, but really it exceeded my expectations, this movie is a blast. Tyler
Just watched Collateral on a friend's reco. Brilliant flick. Can't believe I missed it. One of Michael Mann's best I actually prefer Collateral over Heat. And can you say "brilliant soundtrack"? @keyo, Personally I found Miami Vice to be an 'okay' movie. Definitely nowhere near his other movies but certainly not as bad as most people say. The problem was that the trailer and promos promoted it as an action movie when it wasn't. And on top of that it had almost nothing in common with the 80s series except for the names of the characters.
Keyofx
Public Enemies is just about 'okay' as well. But when it's Mann, 'okay' is still very very worth your time I liked the trailers though, reeaalllly slick
Snake
WTF?? T F ? ? EDIT: i really liked Collateral, the style, used of digital video to make the city look "alive" at night... The nightclub scene was amazing as was the soundtrack..plus Les Grossman does make a convincing hitman....kudos to the combat trainer, the way Tom uses the USP45 to whack multiple guys is awesome!! Dienekes
Just came back from watching IB, I will just say.. "bingo" btw, it did look in couple of scenes that something must have been expurgated, but there weren't any jump cuts, so go and watch the movie right away.. these kinda flicks do deserve a more-than-a-week run in our country.. PS: Everyone, do not try to look for historical inaccuracies in the movie. It's a work of pure fiction. I heard some folks argue about the ending while walking out and all I could do was wonder why they even bother watching movies like these. For those fellas.. Fcuk history, enjoy fiction.. BTW, was that Samuel L Jackson's voice when they explained the inflammable films ? I'm pretty sure it was him... Yes, he it was.. explaining about the inflammable films and also when telling about the infamous Hugo Stiglitz
Tyler
Yes, he it was.. explaining about the inflammable films and also when telling about the infamous Hugo Stiglitz Bingo! Hugo Stiglitz was a f**king badass btw terrible how he went down though. Useless Trivia: He's the same guy who plays Jack Carver in the crappy Uwe Boll Far Cry flick. @Keyo: nope, haven't seen Quarantine... mainly because I don't wanna settle for something less.
