Worth watching in the theater Ty?

Yes. I personally enjoyed it a lot. It moved at a brisk pace and had loads of gory ninja action. I will warn you about the dark scenes (most of the movie is dimly lit) and the shaky cam. But with other choices being Twilight, 2012 and some random chick-flick, Ninja Assassin is a bloody good option.

Yo.

Ninja Assassin soaked forum boyos,

Allow me to draw your attention to this fine movie.

A lot of original writing(with plenty of scope for extrapolation(in your mind) during certain parts), steers clear of a majority of cliches exemplifying the genre and emerges a valiant remarkable effort.

Reminds me of the underlying theme in a strip I can't stop reading - the ones who are dead inside are really the ones that are alive.

Watch it when you're less wasted.

The action scenes were good enough. Yes, they were dark but I'll use the same argument - they are f**king ninjas!

See how they got pwned in the lights at the end?

There was a bit of shaky cam (especially that chase scene) but nothing that ruined the movie.

And why were you expecting a good plot / dialog / acting from a movie called NINJA ASSASSIN anyway?

Not enough beer in the world could make it a good movie ^_^ I cant imagine watching it sober.

And just because its called ninja assassin is no reason to cop out on not having any decent writing AT ALL.

Carriers (2009)

On my must-watch list for a while now. The problem is that I am usually too lazy to download movies - then move them to a USB - then watch them on my PS3 (hate watching movies on the computer). I'd rather spend money and watch movies in the theater or pick up a DVD instead. This is the reason why I end up watching most movies much later.

The Wachowski's wanted to make a tribute to old ninja/samurai flicks (which also featured zero plot and ridiculous amounts of blood) and I think they succeeded. Perhaps even more than Quentin Tarantino's attempt. Don't get me wrong, I loved Kill Bill but it felt like a parody at times. Ninja Assassin took itself seriously but still knew what it was all along.

Either way, it's not a movie everyone will like, but it's a welcome change from the usual multiplex fare.

Just watched Titan A.E again. Heck, been a decade now since it released. Hand drawn animations are rare now! Loved it when it released and its not bad for a typical young unsure fellow saving the world kinda story.

I loved that movie! And yes, 2D animation FTW!

btw, money is not the only reason. Its f**king *dunno what* that movies release very late or sometimes not even release here. And you wont find good collection of movies in most of the cities (especially where I live). I always watch movies on PC. Am not really a quality wh*re DVDrip is fine for me  but no cam
