Nemo
Yep, its frame by frame till the protagonist finds out his tormentor. Then the hindi version goes downhill. The bollywood guys couldn't bring in the twist of oldboy, so instead they put in some lame desi emo stuff as the reason for the kidnap. But the whole corridor fight scene is captured as it is from oldboy. so i believe i am good to enjoy oldboy even when i have seen zinda.. right ? arun360
Yep, its frame by frame till the protagonist finds out his tormentor. Neobillyhouse, Did you even watch the same Zinda-Oldboy? It's not frame by frame. Though certain scenes were lifted straight out, our director did take his liberties with the script right from the start. Nemo, when did you see Zinda? If recently, then watch a month's quota of movies before Oldboy. Don't OD on the same formula. Others, Zinda DVD is available for 45 bucks. Watch it for the laughs and the twist in the twist. Jigsaw
I watch gore regularly without so much as a eye blink.... But zinda made me really uneasy. Probably the same reason as the movie Jail. The feeling of helplessness, frustation and knowing u may never get to meet your "loved" one ever

There's a scene in Audition (not the torture scene) that was similarly twisted and extremely gross as well. I found that worse than the torture scene. Though certain scenes were lifted straight out, our director did take his liberties with the script right from the start. OK, don't reach too much into the words . Zinda borrows a lot from oldboy, at least till the hero finds out the tormentor, you can say its "almost" frame-frame. Some parts like the octopus eating scene are edited out of zinda till that part. But man, oldboy has one of the sickest twists amongst all movies. Its one of the most unexpected, at least for me. It was a damn disturbing revelation too. Aftrunner
Just finished watching "Sicko".This is one shocking eye-opener.. I never knew healthcare is *free* in the UK or anywhere in the world And the cruel way its run in the US. Michael Moore It still shocks me that now when they are trying to push through free healthcare in the US half the politicians and the public are screaming its a communist conspiracy. Its f**king unreal. I dont think people there give a sh*t about the uninsured and untreated and will actually go out of their way to make sure the poor dont get any medical help.
