The movie is alright for a mainstream zombie flick. The

standoff

at the end is awesome.

Woody Harrelson is beyond cool, and Bill Murray is proof that you can do a cool celeb cameo and not make the whole thing look stupid (coughhangovercough).

But you'll shake your head at the stupid things the characters do. It's one stupid move after another non-stop and it hurts the movie's credibility.

But isn't it more of a zombie movie spoof than a serious one?

I'm really not sure what it is. On one hand it feels like a bad Zombie Survival Guide rip-off, and on the other a regular zombie flick.

All I know is that the two lead females do some of the STUPIDEST things ever seen in genre cinema. And the two males aren't too far off either, but when you're Woody Harrelson you're automatically off the hook B)

john117 is right, the final sequence is all kinds of L4Dish awesomeness (idiocy aside). Harrelson \m/ :P

Chetan Bhagat has reacted sharply that 3 Idiots turned out completely different from the book.

How retarded is this, Bollywood rips stuff from Hollywood right from movie scripts to the poster art and when they have absolutely brilliant homebrewed script they mother it.

First they cast all wrong actors, then they came up with most pathetic name for the movie, one can come up after having read the book. If they have deviated from the way characters are portrayed in the book then they have just murdered the book.

Anyone who has read the book and loved it can give a better review of the movie than any one else.

Only reason I wanted to watch it cuz I simply loved the book and I could relate many events in the book with the stuff happened in my college years.

If there is even a little bollywoodization then screw it, I am not going to watch this no matter how good the movie is.

I know, lets light up an amusement park, ditch the only mode of transport we have and shoot the controls out of that ride when we're hanging in mid air

:D

But Bill feckin' Murray! And Ghostbusters! :):majesty:

j00 forgot

leaving a big a*s mansion having all kinds of comforts- not to mention 2 males who upon not having raped you even after 24 hours of meeting in a post semi apocalyptic scene, give enough indication to be trusted- and going out to meet them zombies

So "not having raped you" is all you need for a good character certificate in the post apocalyptic era? :)

:):majesty: not to mention Harrelson

randomly shooting his weapons and creating a racket and the group trashing that native american reservation store in the middle of the night.

They should just kill themselves if they want it so bad :D

You could argue that the movie has its tongue firmly planted in rotting cheek, but I just couldn't tell. I mean even lighter works like Shaun of the Dead have believable decisions (good or bad) :D

Definitely worth a watch, though. The intro sequence is really good, and so is the soundtrack.

district 9?

Oh gee, the Tyrant. According to IMDb, its Dr. Isaacs that turns into a Tyrant, but it doesn't look too much like Iain Glen. Could be Albert Wesker, since Wesker gets killed by the Tyrant, and in keeping with the spread pattern of the T-Virus in the movies, it looks like Wesker could mutate into the Tyrant. Damn, can't tell anything clearly from that picture. Ahhh, screw it, as long as I get to see Ali Larter as Claire Redfield. Yum! :P
