I saw "Rocket Singh:Salesman of the year". Clever and witty flick, another movie which deviates form the formulaic stories and ends up very good. And Ranbir Kapoor is easily one of the best current-gen actors around. I was surprised that this came from YRF banner. I think 2009 has been a pretty good year in terms of quality bollywood movies, there were easily 8-10 movies which I liked

Sad thing is, I heard the above mentioned movie didn't do well at the BO, which is a shame :chair:

I do understand that every one has their own likes and dislikes but i feel majority Indian audience fail to understand lot of good movies and infact enjoy movies more that are time pass type and have Top film stars in it.

Rocket Singh is one of the best movies to come out from Bollywood...it should have done well. :chair:

Saw 3 idiots yesterday. Was quite an entertaining watch. Aamir played his part well and Kareena was looking fabulous as well. Typical R. Hirani fare.

Some parts were completely unnecessary. I didn't think it either of the suicides were warranted. They never are, but in the movie's case , things didn't get that bad for both of them. Atleast it didn't for Joy Lobo. The whole pregnancy scene was a joke and didn't invoke any emotions in anyone in the cinema hall. Chatur aka Silencer's speech was a gem. I was ROFLing for a long time after that scene ended. Plus, I could see the twists from a mile. I was sure that Phunsuk wangdoo would be Aamir only when we found out that he isn't the real Rancchoddas

yup, ending was too predictable

btw, I liked that

suicide

scene and character which you think unnecessary (no offence)

Watched THE MIST today. I had been wanting to watch this movie for a long time and finally caught it on Star Movies today. As usual, most of the blood, gore etc was cut but it's still an amazing movie. The ending was something I did not predict and the creature design was fantastic... loved the

HUGE creature they showed towards the end.

. Now if only I could find the DVD in stores here.

Watched Julie and Julia, beautiful movie. Meryl Streep is awesome, and so is Amy Adams <_<

And if you loved Devil Wears Prada, you would definitely love this one, the setting is very much same.

Uhhh  ?

Devil wears prada is about fasion industry, julie and julia is about cooking, and its 2 different stories interspersed. The only similarity is that they both star meryl streep. Otherwise, they are completely different.

BTW, saw this movie:

Sort of a dark comedy. It stars Aaron Eckhart and as usual he has given a superb performance. The movie itself is very good.

Yup. Excellent movie.

The mist is/was awesome, I cant believe you saw it now Ty. The king short story is rather excellent too. Darabont should be the only guy who is allowed to touch King's work.
