I saw the long overdue movie - Fargo. A movie for all times, which doesn't disappoint even when you watch it after reading the immense hype. Totally worth it.

But IMO, No country for old men is better work by Coen bros, than this. That was friggin' tense. Fargo is has some dark comedy vibe in it (which is not bad). Definitely worth owning and watching multiple times.

Oh, I love Fargo and Hudsucker Proxy. I watched Baton Fink at a time which made it a really important film for me. And I'm a slut for surrealism and noir.

BTW Fargo was the first Coen Brothers movie I ever watched.

I've heard Sinead O'Connor on a few occasions, never heard her version of Danny Boy. Thanks for the recommendation.

I see your Barton Fink and raise you The Man Who Wasn't There. We can go on forever with the Coens

Sinead is awesome. I'd let her whip me.

So wait,Ty u telling me u havent seen The Mist yet???

The Mist is very very good.......The Spiders still creep me out!!

You NEED to watch the B&W version on the SE DVD (and listen to Darabont's excellent commentary). Gives the film a whole new feel.

One of the best DVDs in my library.

You have a library?!?!

Oh and btw, speaking of 'The Man Who Wasn't There', the cinematographer 'Roger Deakins' is absolutely brilliant. His work on 'The Assassination of Jesse James' is pure genius.

Saw Inglourious Basterds and W-O-aa-O-W :):chair: !!

:fear:

loved it, freaking loved it. i rarely stay put and watch a movie w/o breaks when i do so at home but for this i sat for entire 2 1/2 hours from 0200 to 0440 in the night. As i just got a hd screen, i well umm, acquired a few HD movies. Started with Transformers 2 and could not bear to watch 5 mins into La'Beouf walking into his college room :ko: my god is that movie a FAIL. Went back and started IB and i felt the joy of movies back in me again

Landa is like the most epic character i have seen after Bateman. I really believe this is tarantino's best work.. at par with pulp fiction IMO. All characters were spot on and i really loved that they used authentic languages regarding the setting instead of english all the time. Though i was kinda surprised when they actually

killed Hitler

, but it only added to the movie's charm.

Absolutely love tarantino's satire. I believe- nay- i know IB is amongst the best i have seen.

The best part for me apart from Landa was the way movie was paced, nice and slow with lots of tension and a blast of an ending. in certain movies i like my characters well build (not talking about gym) with having great lines to speak.

On a completely unrelated note, i have a strange desire of playing Saboteur now :|

Landa is the

Jew Killer

rite..? the tension he brings rite from the first scene is amazing!

even the Kraut who guessed King Kong was cool :spank: thass y i said.. hitlers was the stupidest person shown in teh movie. another epic moment.. when the star kills shoushana

edit : though i was a lil surprised when those guys left such striking evidence of Von Hammerstock's presence at the bar
