shekdown
It's 1408. And both The Shining and 1408 are Stephen King stories. Ah, I wasnt of the knowledge that 1408 was a Stephen King story as well.
DevilsOwn
Ah, I wasnt of the knowledge that 1408 was a Stephen King story as well. a short story. and thus the movie kinda dragged. Shining is an epic novel, and the movie thus rocked. No one can write horror as the man from Maine

DevilsOwn
oh btw, Saw, The Hurt Locker the other night. Brilliantly made movie. One edge of the seat scene to other. Very tight narrative. Brilliantly written lead character. At the end, you question his final decision for its stupidity, but at the same time you understand his motivations for it and accept them. No wonder its just steam rolled everything in its path at the BAFTA's

No wonder its just steam rolled everything in its path at the BAFTA's Wow, no offense to you and almost all the critics in the world. I thought the exact opposite. Sloppy narrative, stereotyped characters, lazy screenplay, lazier/weak dialogue and the lead character was just.. stupid. I didn't care for him at all. Hurt Locker shouldn't have won BAFTAs for anything other than cinematography.

Aftrunner
Saw Capitalism (the Moore doc). Its typical Moore, very over the top where one side is always the victims and the others pure distilled evil but as usual he does manage to raise some very valid points. Its quite f**ked up how much influence the Multi billion dollar companies have over their political system. Well worth watching.
