watched clash of the titans yesterday at arch mall. To me the movie was just meh!! Perhaps its because we have all played gow3 and we have seen much better things, i cant say how the common folk feel about this film :threatenlumber: . On imdb this movie is currently at 7.5 and earlier at 8.0 :dance: I suggest ppl to wait for dvd release. Movie was ok. Ill giv it 6/10 ,actors were great .

acting was just a tinge above average, i could actually see people snoring in the movie...i will rate it a 4/10

Saw Clash of the titans. Very poor film.

 

Also I just wanna say that Kingdom of the Crystal skull gets a lot of unwarranted hate. I am working my way through the Indiana Jones trilogy (while playing the Lego Indiana Jones games :P) and I can say with absolute certainty that Temple of Doom is a thousand times worse than Kingdom of Crystal skull. Short round (Go f**k yourself Dotta jones) and that shrieking harpy Willie makes ToD one of the most over rated films of all time. Infact at times its as poor as the Phantom menace. Compared to that, KotCS is an amazing move.

 

Edit Also everytime Indy says "Tum shiva key vishwasgathi ho!" I cant stop giggling. I swear it gets funnier every time I hear it. :samui:

Clash of the Titans - another example of "trailer is so much better than the movie".

 

It wasn't a total disaster though. Parts of it were actually cool... like the casting, most of the CGI and the action. However there were a few things that just killed the movie...

 

- 3D - Seriously, what the f**k? Why was this even in 3D? I honestly could not see any "3D" part from the intro scene (which were pretty cool btw) and the end credits. Worst.3D.ever.

 

- Sam Worthington. Say hello to the new Keanu Reeves on the block. His performance renders the entire plot and character motivation worthless. Just what the f**k does he want? He spends most of the movie looking clueless and then jumps directly to a motivational speech

 

- Medusa - she was supposed to scary (watch the original COTT, you'll see what I mean), but I actually found her "sexy" :\ The whole scene was good but the CGI and character design could have been a lot better.

 

- Costumes... especially the gods. Zeus in tin foil and Hades looked like the lead singer of a Viking metal band.

 

- Pacing.... Too fast. The movie needed another 30 minutes to pad things out. It was like one "quest" after another with zero plot/character development. I have nothing against non-stop action but this is a different type of movie. With a cast like that they could have definitely made it better.

 

 

On the upside however... Gemma Arterton & Alexa Davalos :)

 

 

Overall, I am disappointed, I had been looking forward to the movie for a long time.

This. It felt like it was one level of a video game after another. There is a desert level, an underground level, a sea level etc. People criticized Transformers 2 but at least that had some coherency.
