^^ Totally agree! TF was the best "blockbuster" movie of 2007. Whether anyone liked the movie or not they at least have to give them credit for the mindblowing CGI and seemless integration of CGI characters and real environments. The musical score has also become one of my favorite movie scores of all time.

BTW, Megatron was voiced by Hugo "Agent Smith" Weaving...

CGI Env blend was amazingly done well...It was a very diffcult task made appear easy frm them ( watch garfield movie  , n u wld knw what am talking about ^)

btw Hugos voice was very well suited with the character.

^^ whats your defn of a 'blockbuster' movie  ?

Very Hard work done = showed middle finger to critics = Best film made = Blockbuster = Transformers

i dont think u have an idea of hollywood moviemaking do you ppl like michael bay, jerry bruckheimer are only producing big budget CGI burdened films with a mediocre storyline and scriptwork.their primary objective to generate millions via heavy marketing.anything which has been a substantial part of popculture is inevitably turned into a movie which 90% of the time always fails to stimulate ur intellect.Overloaded special effects,CGI is only the fresh smell of brownies provided by the director to deviate from a substandard plot.

I know people enjoy watching flash and ultra blinged out movies but this ignorance is the reason majority of the ppl fail to identify with real(artistic and sensible)hollywood movies.you must be out of ur mind to hope these fingers make it to the oscars

Just finished with " Hanuman Returns ", cute movie, quite good animation, animation of " Hanuman " was better though. The funny parts in the film were very well shown to leave u laughing for half a minute atleast.

real(artistic and sensible)hollywood movies

those are hard to come by, really....you'll have to look at europe or south east asia/japan to provide that

peace

If you are talking about korean/Japan movies - half of their so called 'artistic' movies cannot be watched by normal ppl. Can never compare a movie like 'citizen kane' or 'dr. zhivago' to park or miike's movies !

P.S: Akira Kurosawa is an exception !

Just watched the old classic "Bullit" starring Steve McQueen.

What an amazing movie. No frills, no background music, just stoic performances. And the car chase sequence and on-foot chase at the airport are absolutely fantastic. Even more so when you realize thatMcQueen did all the stunts himself. :shock3:

All in all, a welcome escape back to the days of classic Hollywood movie making (even if the director was British).

That Megatron was an imposter! THIS is the REAL Megatron! I fully realise that the cartoon had to be updated in some way but God, they tore the soul right out of it. My childhood memories raped and mutilated right in front of me. And Frank Welker didn't voice Megatron either. The ONLY remnant from the original series that made it to the movie was Peter Cullen, God bless him. The Megatron-Optimus confrontation from the '86 film blows the CGI crap out of the water  I could go on and on about the original series. This is stuff I grew up with damnit, you CANNOT ruin it Hollywood. I FORBID IT. Oh and why call it Transformers in the first place when it's so different from the original?

To be fair, the Transformers have had a whole bunch of redesigns, one to go with every series that was made I'd imagine. The series' that cartoon network aired, as far as I remember, were Beast Wars, Armada and Cybertron. None of them were anywhere near as good as the original G1/G2 series though.

@MT: But he's so...err...funny looking! That said, it would've been impossible to go with the original Megatron design anyway. He transforms into a GUN, lol. I don't agree with the bit about him looking more evil/menacing with the new design. I'm gonna see if I can dig up that Prime-Megatron fight on youtube.

Edit:

Edit2: Optimus

The movie is good because of its special effects and because the Transformers look and feel like giant robots. Also, the half decent storyline adaption did help along with the "human" touch of Bumblebee. When I saw the flick in the theatre, I swear people were clapping and cheering when Megan Fox strapped Bumblebee to the back of the tow truck and reversed into the fight.

This flick is a keeper IMO and certainly one of Michale Bay's finest works (not saying much, I know, but hey, I actually liked "The Island").

^^ There was a lot of clapping and cheering when I watched it in theaters too!

Anyway, watched Rambo last night! It was :shock3: :shock3: :shock3:

Looks like Stallone has been playing too many video games in his off time. People being torn apart by .50 cal machine gun fire, people blown apart by explosives, heads blown clean off by sniper rifles... it's all there! The action is quite old skool and gets as intense and bloody as it can get. This is probably the most hardcore of all recent action flicks. Thank you Stallone! I wonder how the MPAA let him get away with only an R-rating! Plus for once the Indian theatrical version is not one bit censored.

I highly recommend it. The first act is somewhat slow but it really picks up during the second and the third act is pretty much non-stop action and at 90 mins it doesn't drag too much. Just switch off your brain, don't think too much, kick back, relax and enjoy the carnage! Hey, after all it's Rambo!

rambo 4 has the highest no. of kills compared to the other rambo movies.246 kills which means the average death rate is 2.59 per minute.i saw no ountry for old men but surprisingly it wasn't as good as i hoped it to be.the plot is average and the southern accents are a bit annoying to understand.however the assassin Chigurh has given a very impressive n chilling performance

I just watched The Nines starring Ryan Reynolds from Two guys, a girl and Pizza Place.

Weird but totally worth the download and 90 minute runtime.

Supernatural theme - no hawt chicks or SFX.

Right up your alley if you're up for a late night low budget movie with a decent script and strong performances.

Wouldn't recommend it to everyone, though.
