The suspense is built up very well and the ending doesn't disappoint either. Must watch for thriller/mystery movie fans. The movie has some mildly disturbing scenes. So watch out for them, if you are real weak hearted Never knew sweden made such good movies, need to watch out for more The novel is so much better than the movie. The details concerning the back-story are too long and tedious. The pacing is interesting. More of a page turner like Agatha Christie but not as good. But it's better than the movie Also, the 2nd one in the Millennium trilogy i.e. The Girl Who Played with Fire has better scripting and dialogues than the first. A good page turner it definitely is. Way better than its Imdb score of 6.5 would suggest. Top notch performances by Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin.
