I wouldn't call it earth shattering but it was good and the concept was laid out very neatly with good pacing through the film. Edit: The more i think of it the movie reminded me of a video game. It had its rules that it set up, boundaries etc. and then released people to populate this world, and act within it. Aftrunner Posted July 16, 2010 Report Share Posted July 16, 2010 (edited) Saw Inception. Good solid film. Not as good as Prestige or Memento but very watchable nonetheless. I am not sure I really liked the ending. I dont mind ambiguous endings to stories but I dont think its handled here as well as it should have been. Something like Shutter Island does it much better. In SI on one level its a perfectly decent ending but only if you start to look closer and question things you can see the ambiguity. Same for something like Braid. Here its just in your face and feels like a cop out after 2 1/2 hours of good story telling. Its like Nolan decided there was no way to do the right ending so just leave it for people to decide. ^^Not really major spoilers but its best you be warned. Anyway bring on Predators. Edit : Subtitles need to die in the Cinema. There were subtitles at my show too. Its distracting at best. If I wanted that I would watch it on the DVD. Edit 2: Reading through the thread and LOL. Theater was only half full so I am guessing most people were Nolan fans or people who knew about the movie. I have seen people cheer and even clap at the end of films. First time I ever saw a whole theater gasp. That was pretty cool TBH even though I knew exactly how it was gonna end 10 minutes before it happened. It was like watching toddlers get fascinated by a shiny object. Also +1 to what Zen said. There were a lot of times I thought some parts would make for a kick a*s game.
