^^ :) This movie looks like its shaping up to be one of the best comic book to flick adaptations. Fingers crossed and :wOOtjumpy:

Also, I highly recommend that you guys procure and watch the 1979 cult classic "The Warriors". Rockstar made a wonderful PS2 game based on this movie a few years ago. I watched the flick last night and was really impressed.

Must See !!

Yeah, 'The Warriors' is indeed an excellent movie. Everything about the movie is great :coolspeak:

^^Agree with both of you but

don't you guys think the ending was poorly executed?? i mean the terrorists did an excellent job at even recruiting the top level Secret Service guy, and at the end i was like, wait... that's it??

I have to agree... the ending just wasn't as good as the build up. The movie was really tight until the last 30 minutes or so.

^^ The original script was even better. It had 47 acting more like the 47 we know and not pulling out swords and having a martial arts battle in a subway...

I usually leave my critic's hat at home and enjoy action movies that require suspension of disbelief(Die Hard 4.0 was fun!)

But Vantage Point is a no go.

The movie is filled with plotholes, bad acting and a very disappointing ending.

And by the way, Matthew Fox has very little screen time and less than half a page of dialogue. There's nothing in this movie for you, Mr.LOST fan.

The concept(homage to Kurosawa) is okay but the script seriously lacks depth.

Sure, it'd make a half decent episode of a TV show but it's definitely not worth the multiplex ticket price.

Save your money.

/takes notes.

LOST is full up with hammy acting as it is, so the lesser I see of Fox the better. Unless he pulled a rabbit out of his a*s on the Vantage Point sets and turned in the performance of his life (unlikely). The only thing that keeps me watching LOST is the story/mythology.

Saw Gone baby Gone yesterday. Good stuff; Ben Affleck's brother is a pretty good actor.

Oh and I dunno if this has been said before but anyone who like slashers HAS to watch this movie called Hatchet.

Well, I do agree Vantage Point has plot holes but you can only find them if you try to over analyze the movie. As a one-time-watch fast paced action thriller it works well. The pacing and editing is tight and the cast is pretty good. Besides I don't really care much for Matthew Fox (or Lost for that matter), so I didn't really mind him having less screen time either. The movie hits a middle ground between a no brainer actioner (Die Hard) and a smart action flick (the Bourne movies). Reminded me a lot of Shooter from last year, which was also a similar type of movie.

I would still recommend the movie to anyone who likes action flicks with some brains. It's a lot better than Jumper...

That's one of the major problems with Vantage Point.

It tries to do something smart, fails halfway and hides under the cover of a no brainer actioner.

watched yesterday:

alvin and the chipmunks

good luck chuck

the darjeeling limited

all three were fun

peace

3 movies a day!! A perfect way to spend the day.

Finally saw American Gangster today. A little dragged but overall a good movie.

Mithya - Some parts are really hillarious, great performances by Vinay Pathak, Ranvir Shourie and Neha Dhupia.

Bombay to Bangkok - One of the worst movies ever.

Sunday - A bit better than Bombay to Bangkok but still really really crap. Arshad Warsi should pick and chose his roles and Ajay Devgan should do comedy at all.
