Chaztin
Last 'Harry Potter' Book Becomes 2 Films ( Yahoo News ) Harry Potter was the center of seven novels, but he'll star in eight films. The final book in the wildly successful series will be made into two films, the Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday. Producers are expected to announce Thursday that J.K. Rowling's last "Potter" installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will be split into two parts on the big screen. The first film is slated for release in November 2010, with part two following in May 2011. "It was born out of purely creative reasons," producer David Heyman told the Times. "Unlike every other book, you cannot remove elements of this book." The two final "Potter" films will be shot concurrently, much like the blockbuster trilogy based on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy novel "The Lord of the Rings" Another famous Tolkien tome, "The Hobbit" is also being split into two live-action movies set for back-to-back shooting to begin next year. Filming on the sixth "Potter" flick, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," began in September. "It's been brilliant," said star Daniel Radcliffe. "It's also, I think, the funniest of the films so far." The "Potter" film franchise has pulled in $4.5 billion at the worldwide box office. shaiTaaNi billi
^^i wish they had also done that with goblet of fire(my fav book in the series) anyways watched "the others" good movie.....scary and haunting the twist in the end was great and unpredictable if you like this movie then i highly recommend you to watch skeleton key and haunted, these two movies has the best ending ever in a horror movie i just finished watching the hills have eyes(2006), i really enjoyed this movie, too gruesome and disturbing, nothing is better than watching assholes getting f**ked up in their asses, i love when those stupid mutants got taste of their own medicine, the best thing i liked about this movie was that it shows a person could become extremely violent and desperate in the hour of crisis, the character of Doug Bukowski becomes completely transformed when he face the death of his wife and in order to save his baby he shows tremendous will power. i will give this movie 4/5, i read on wikipedia that wes craven's original the hills have eyes was more focused towards the characterization of the mutants , so it's gotta be worth watching, now i am downloading the original part, i hope it would be as good as the remake Edited March 14, 2008 by aman
Ne0
ok i admit that spiderman 1 was ok but seriously chaz 2nd part was crap, it bored the hell out of me, 3rd part looked promising bcoz we were delivered with good action scenes and top notch cg effects. Talking about CG, aah , watch Transformers and then again watch SM3..it wld appear like Makkdiman from Bollywood. Chaz - thats pure exaggeration, SM3 gfx is awesome, its the narration and storyline which sucks and the fact that venom was just present for 15 mins in the whole movie ! Chaztin
Yes I know Venom fan , btw..Personal opinion, its nowhere near Transformers, plus part 1 and 2 were better then 3 and 3rds graphics and stunts appears more like taken from bollywood. Xformers has amazing gfx agreed, I'm not contesting that part. But how can u compare SM3 gfx to bollywood stunts :cursing: ? Did you see SM3 in theatres or the sparrow version at home ? look at the first fight between sandman and spidey....tell me which bollywood movie has stunts like this ? No bollywood movie stunts can even come close to SM3. Period.

Very moody and haunting. And the twist was totally :shock3: I honestly didn't see it coming. It may be because I wasn't aware that there was a twist so I didn't really keep looking for clues. Tyler
Oh ok, I didn't know it was based on the book. I've read it btw. But from experience, movies based on King's books haven't exactly been that good. The Shining, Misery, Carrie and more recently 1408 are a few exceptions. Eli Roth (Hostel) is making a movie based on Cell, I hope it's good. I hope someone makes a trilogy/series based on Dark Tower though! EDIT: Just checked IMDB. Looks like I missed this movie and judging from the User Comments it's probably worth a watch. Edited March 14, 2008 by Tyler
