shekdown
Well, Im expecting to give 10/10 for Empire and Return, and I dont rate A New Hope as high as those 2, therefore, going by that

shekdown
Ridiculous, really. I think graphics have really stood the test of time extremely well in case of the original trilogy. Even yesterday, when I watching some scenes I thought it was brilliant. If you want to watch some pointless lightsabre fights, pathetic script writing, horrible pointless plot, worst acting ever and cringe-worthy dialogues, stick to the new trilogy. If you want an entertaining, emotionally charged, innovative, impressive story, watch the original trilogy. Empire has to be one of the greatest movies of all time, really. Aftrunner
I loved the old ones but I liked the recent ones too. I think people are overly harsh on the last 3. Its not like they went from Godfather to Analyze that. Even the first 3 had some poor writing and questionable choices. Ok nothing as bad as the Phantom menace but still. And FWIW Revenge of the sith was rather excellent. /Hatersgonnahate
theneurotoxin
The first Star Wars film I saw was the phantom menace and it made me want to watch the rest of them. So I don't think it's a bad movie by itself but when you look at it in hindsight some of the stuff that happens comes across as rather absurd. Daedalus
Even the original trilogy is hardly the pinnacle of good writing that many suppose it is. It's very watchable and that is about it.
Aftrunner
I think if you remove everything Anakin says in the first two films and make him a mute both the films improve by a factor of 100000. He is sooooo badly written. Almost every other line is cringeworthy.
