I simply cant get how people enjoyed the first 3 movies. They are terrible in all aspects, Natalie Portman included. I think only Ewan Mcgregor saves face as a very good Obi Wan, but Im only talking about his acting. His character was so flawed.

Maybe its the new movie goers or something, but I dont think I could ever enjoy the first 3 movies and even compare them in the slightest to the Original Trilogy. Ill stay Old School B)

As far as the movie goes, SW is a must watch for anybody, sure the first 2 parts are complete BS but the 3rd is still pretty good, and nothing beats Empire Strikes back :threatenlumber:

Natalie Portman? As a bad point?

gramps is senile... confirmed... also lacking in taste... since the whole hannah affair

Yeah she is Natalie frickin Portman. She could have a voice like Janet from Friends and she would still be scorching hot.

damn u....

watched the wrestler last night... good movie.. although quite sad :(

I think graphics have really stood the test of time extremely well in case of the original trilogy.

No, they really haven't. Or maybe it's just me :P

I loved the old ones but I liked the recent ones too. :fear:

I think people are overly harsh on the last 3. Its not like they went from Godfather to Analyze that. Even the first 3 had some poor writing and questionable choices. Ok nothing as bad as the Phantom menace but still. And FWIW Revenge of the sith was rather excellent.

Yeah, Revenge of the Sith is probably my second favourite SW film, right behind Empire Strikes Back.

I've always loved SW for its universe, not its writing.

I liked the first 3 (as in 1, 2, 3 - the new movies) for their lightsaber fights, not for their story or anything.

Anyway, watched a few flicks over the past day.

Shrek Forever After - usual nonsense

Avatar's extended uncut version - didn't go through the whole thing, but there's a bit more here and there (not too much that's significant though)

Restrepo (may have said this already) - nice documentary showing the actual life of a soldier better than Hurt Locker does. Then again it's an actual documentary with actual war footage and death and sh*t.

The President's Book of Secrets - alright so this one was a History Channel documentary :fear::P

13 - This one didn't do much for me. Thought I'd like it when I saw the setting, but despite the story, there doesn't seem to be any real tension in the flick, no suspense.

Legend of the Guardians : Owls of Ga Hoole - It was nice, nothing spectacular. I didn't quite like the lead character that kept whining all the time, but the animation was decent, though the story was cliched.

The Town - Liked it. Really liked it. Enough suspense and action. And a nice story, that doesn't have too many cliches.

Every Shrek sequel has been such a disappointment. The first one is one of my favorite animated films of all time. Its been getting progressively worse since then. :|

So whats the verdict on Narnia?

saw Narnia today. good movie. Liked it more than harry potter's latest. I havent read the books (plan on doing soon as my bro tells me they are better than HP and he is a HP fan). I for one think the acting is better in Narnia movies, the kids, specially the one who turns into a dragon had much better screen presance than the trio in Hp.

Did not know all the 4 kids wont be there in this movie so was a tad disappointed at the start but forgot that as the movie progressed. As some one told me, the best hing about Narnia movies is that they dont try hiding they are a proper unabashed fantasy movie and go all out for it, compared to HP movies that try to bring realism in it and do more often than not turn out to be bland.

all in all, Narnia 3 is a must watch :good:
