Arey o kafanchor neta, mere naam ki qavvali gaana band kar aur kaam ki baat bata ... jis kaam ke liye tu billi ka doodh peekar dilli se aaya.

Pulled out straight from memory. If everyone on Earth watches this movie at the same time, it has the potential of achieving something which was previously considered an impossible feat. World Peace.

Tronnnnnnnn : Legacy !! :wOOtjumpy:

The movie's pure awesomeness, bliss for eyes and ears both !

Also this is NOT an action movie, its just like the first Tron....heavy on story with few action sequences in between (all good action), insane audio-visual presentation (seriously its f**ckin state of art !) and fairly decent acting (great acting in some cases, yep Michael Sheen). Olivia Wilde is :wub: (in the movie she has an uncanny resemblance to Faith from Mirror's Edge...lol)

My disappointment was that the movie barely focuses on Tron himself. And CG Jeff Bridges looks scary when he shouts, but that's probably because of the uncanny valley effect. Also since this is a sequel and a very direct one at that you'll be scratching your heads over wtf is going on and may get bored midway if you haven't watched or read about the story in the first movie.

3D's really worth it for this movie, the 3D effects only kick in when the characters are in the Grid instead of all the time...there's a right balance of 2D and 3D.

saw this movie The Graduate.....quite old movie -1967...amazing movie...really got its moments...its about a boy having sex with mother but falls deeply in love with daughter ....and then see how it unfolds wont say more that that it will spoil it.....very well made movie. ..there is no vulgar scenes...it does show a naked woman but no private parts.....recommended to everyone.

btw guys how is citizen kane and swordfish?? worth getting it.

Beautiful acting by Dustin Hoffman.Abt the movie..the build up is good...But kinda looses its grip in the end.

Tron..one of the most sinfully boring 2 hours i've spent in my life. seriously..i've had a couple of finance lectures which were more interesting. and i f**king HATE finance. the movie only looks good but because of the sucky 3D and those moronic 3D glasses you really can't even enjoy that. plus the sound is just awful.

the soundtrack is decent and a couple of scenes are kinda alright. but that's about it. went to watch a movie after soo long coz i thought this would be something i would actually like. gaaaarrrrh.

What a f**king waste.

there is absolutely no explanation in the movie on what it actually is or how exactly was senior Flynn going to "change the world" and what the *bleep* did the real 'Tron' do for the 23.4 seconds he is actually there and how does he suddenly realize that "tron fights for the users". i mean motherf**king damn!

@ Praveer..you actually have to be stoned out of your wits or be completely familiar with the Tron universe and that homo Klu to really like it.

edit : just read your post properly..a sequel after 30 yrs? they better f**king explain it.they can't be spending so much money just for the old timers. OS motherf**king 12 my a*s.

I get bored too, but not when I watch it after a loooooooooooong time, I last saw Face Off over a year ago and though I know the story and all, I still enjoyed watching a good movie after a long time :)

So i just saw Toy Story 3 finally. And on Blu ray. WOW. Really great ending. Its the only way they could end it properly. I loved the final scenes where

they show Andy becoming a kid again playing with his toys and his hesitance to give them up to Bonnie. The way he keeps looking back again n again. In typical fashion of a teenager Andy acts indifferent and hunky dory in the beginning when he shows that he really doesn't care about his toys. But when the time comes to part, he realizes what they mean to him. Amazing really

Damn. I still remember being in 5th or 6th grade when the first one came out. And it makes you think that even 15 years back they achieved so much technically w.r.t CGI and animations.

the soundtrack is decent

This is Blasphemy !

Both the soundtrack and audio/sound are unquestionably amazing.

Actually there is...throw me the questions and I'll mention where and how it was explained.

senior Flynn going to "change the world" and what the *bleep* the real 'Tron' actually do for the 23.4 seconds he is actually there and how does he suddenly realize that "tron fights for the users". i mean motherf**king damn!

Kevin is a God in that particular world, that's why he was able to remove Clu's influence from Tron. From change the world he was referring to Isomorphic Algorithms (ISO) who held the key to medical and technical breakthrough in the real world. I do agree that Tron wasn't shown much in the movie apart from the fight at start and few scenes in between.

@ Praveer..you actually have to be stoned out of your wits or be completely familiar with the Tron universe and that homo Klu to really like it.

I thought it was pretty simple ?

Kevin = God

Clu = Satan

ISO = Life

Real World = Heaven for people on Grid

The Satan (clu) is simply a virtual copy God (Flynn) made of himself to help build the perfect world, but being only a copy he remained static and didn't mature and evolve beyond his prime directive to make a perfect world. The devil is just an inexperienced, arrogant form of God, incapable of progressing spiritually. "Perfection is unknowable, but at the same time it's right in front of us. You don't know that because I didn't know it when I created you. I'm sorry."

Life (iso) is a complete mystery to God (Flynn) and even he considers it a miracle. All God did was create the environment and somehow life spontaneously manifested literally from nothing. Unlike the other programs the ISOs are unpredictable (like humans/users) and hence a flaw in Clu's vision of a perfect world/society.

Heaven to the programs on the Grid is just another plane of existence, it's our world, and Clu wants to conquer it. The Satan is waging war on God's world cause he wants to perfect it (he's a program, a machine if you may call; who's instructed to build a perfect world, this is why he can never stop since he isn't meant to do so), but in that world God is just another person, perhaps a genius, but nothing particularly special.

The old timers are the reason why the movie got a sequel in the first place, only a movie with a cult status like Tron could get away with a movie sequel release 28 years later. And I myself am not an old guy, I saw the movie years after it was released...so did a lot of other people, just because the movie held a cult status. Legacy is a treat to watch for guys from technical field.

hmm..your explanation makes a lot of sense (on the broader scope of the movie)..but i din't get that from the movie. so for me, it failed. and the flow of the movie was all screwed up. like totally. the sound was really awful too..not much clarity and i know it wasn't the speakers coz i've seen many movies in that cinema b4. plus the god awful 3D man..with those sh*t as bricks glasses. the most fail tech that the industry is trying to support EVAR!

maybe i shuda learned what Tron was about b4 i went to see it.

okay..so i'll pass a few..how did Tron suddenly realize that he fights for the users? in the middle of the sequence when he is actually attacking them!

and how would he change the world with the ISOs? How did they hold the key? in any case he created Clu and he shoulda kept a master "off" switch with himself. Really..creation 101. :P

Also it wasn't really clear how they were travelling/transporting/moving through from one place to another plus the sequences did not seem to coherently follow. Again when she (ISO) directs Jr. Flynn to Joos/Zoos or whoever that homo was it ws just a 'mistake'? too many discrepancies. the execution just wasn't there.
