how did Tron suddenly realize that he fights for the users? in the middle of the sequence when he is actually attacking them!

The users mean Humans, Tron is actually a security program created by his user (who is the old guy who tells Sam that he was paged by Flynn, early in the movie....you'll know of this only if you watch the first movie, but this isn't an important detail). Clu is able to influence Tron but Flynn was able to counter that influence when they both made an eye contact. Also one more thing, remember the guy with two discs ? That was Tron.

How would he change the world with the ISOs? How did they hold the key? in any case he created Clu and he shoulda kept a master "off" switch with himself.

ISO's are the 'biologically perfect beings', their DNA structure holds the key to eliminate various medical problems such as Cancer, Kevin Flynn mentions this in the movie.

The lack of an 'off switch' can only be accounted to human error. Flynn never thought about Clu's betrayal, he never realized that if he tells Clu to build a perfect society he'll do what every other program does...follow the command. He simply must have thought that Clu will willingly derezz himself once his vision is complete (as apparent from the scene where Flynn stretches his arms towards Clu and Clu starts walking towards Flynn while being confused). But since Clu wasn't a free program he couldn't go against his purpose that Flynn gave him when he created him ie. an incomplete vision of a perfect world (it was incomplete cause Flynn didn't know how to make a perfect world either, as mentioned in the movie).

Again when she (ISO) directs Jr. Flynn to Joos/Zoos or whoever that homo was it was just a 'mistake'?

Remember the Merovingian from Matrix ?

Well Castor/Zuse is just like him, it was a mistake cause she didn't knew that he was working for Clu.

Most of the things are really explained in the movie in a subtle manner but its also easily miss-able due to the subtlety and the fact that a lot of people just take this movie as a random sci-fi movie with Michael Bay esque direction and script (both of which are horrible).

I'll only give you one advice....just don't go in expecting to watch an action movie, its really not supposed to be one.

The core purpose of the movie is to provide viewers with escapism, but with enough content underneath it to talk about for a long time.

Also if you are a fan of the original then you'll notice that both movies share the same faults and strengths (provided that you look at the first movie without the nostalgia glasses on).

I liked it, but it could have been better.

I remember seeing the original as a child, when it first came out in theatres.

I'm glad they brought back the original cast from the first movie, including not just Jeff Bridges, but Bruce Boxleitner who played Tron in the original. Here, he mainly just had a cameo playing his real-world alter ego Alan.

We only see tantalizing glimpses of Tron in this sequel. Then at the end, we see Tron wake up and sacrifice himself, and finally hints of him possibly later receiving some sort of resurrection or redemption.

I wanted to see more of Tron himself, since he was the plucky superhero of the grid whom the movies were named after. In the original movie, he's a brave kickass fighter, and at least we got to see glimpses of that in the sequel, but nowhere nearly enough.

Just back from a screening of Tron: Legacy.. Nice movie.. Awesome VFX & superb music.. Story kinda reminded me of Matrix, though less convoluted ! Def worth a watch at least once, plus would look killer on bluray !

Edit: OMG ! Forgot to add.. the chicks ! :panic: :panic: ..
