When Knicks, my pomeranian-german shepherd mix died in 2006 at the age of almost 10 years (we looked after him after he was paralyzed from the mid-section downwards for 2 years, we never gave up on him), my mum swore she didn't want another dog cos it'd be too painful to lose one again. But the memories just kept coming back and the next year we had to get ourself another one or we just couldn't sit at home. That's how we got cactus, the lab (yep, wasn't talking about a meth lab earlier in this thread). I hope you'll remember the good times you had with her and get back to normal a few weeks on. Get another dog when the time feels right again, cos unlike most people they'll love u unconditionally. It's worth the pain that comes with a pet's passing. Off topic but Hey, Do we have a " I love my Pet" Thread on General Chatter. I think we must. I am sure many of us must be having or have had or would like to have a pet like a Dog, Cat, Parrot, Turtle, Birds etc.. We must share their pics, our experience and info about our pet as well. I would love to get home a sweetu Puppy ( a bull dog pup I think.) but can't.. Responsibility n time.. (And also my BF is Dog-phobic so ..) So I go play with my friends pet dog whenever I get time n I have kind of found a stray pup in my office area who I pet and feed n play with during breaks.. Umm...My sis is mad behind cats & dogs too Bt we cant get one coz have to keep the house clean all the time as we pray from the house too, & our religion says so too.
