Shantz Posted January 7, 2011 Report Share Posted January 7, 2011 Thank you both Shantz, quick doubt.. would you agree with me that it's better to charge it (with the phone actually off) for the next 12-14 hours before using it for the first time? And how do I know if it's charging or not? When I first plug the phone into the charger, it shows me a white battery indicator charging, then 6-7s later it fades a bit, then 3-4s later, it disappears totally. It only reappears again if I unplug the phone from the charger and plug it back in. So will it show up again and stay on-screen when the battery's fully charged? Btw, my pouch, screen protector, case, portable battery charger etc (all courier packages) are delayed one thanks to the shipper and the other thanks to those assholes at ARAMEX (they've kept my package in their office 3km away for 5 days now for no reason without delivering) So what I did was remove the plastic on the back, then cut the top and bottom edges of the plastic film on the screen to prevent it from being peeled off. Now it's like a perfect screen protector (temporarily) except for the big X|S across the front of it. yes..you should charge it fully before using.. abt charging or not, I think it is charging but you would need to ask superfrag for any indications. My nexus one has an indicator LED that glows with different colors to signify different states but they removed the led in nexus s. So, i dont know what other external indications you can get..Once you charge the phone and start using it, you can use an app called NoLED. I havent used it but read that superfrag used it to somehow simulate the LED..otherwise you can use tasker to give out voice based indications (or say, send notifications to your laptop over the air) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Pretty fast if you ask me, just 2 hours (compared to all those folks whining on the XDA forums). Will give it another half hour before starting the phone first time.
