Not sure if 5830 was released, but even that will beat 6770M easily. I mean 5850 gives 64 fps in RE5 on Ultra at 2560x1600 on max settings, and 6770M struggles to give 40fps on 1920x1080. (Using RE5 as an example because its the only game I found which had benchs for both 6770M and 5850) 6770M performance can be compared to 5770 desktop card I guess. Big Boss Posted May 4, 2012 Report Share Posted May 4, 2012 I guess laptop for gaming is still not a feasible option ! It never was. Even Alienwares worth 1.5lacs can be easily beaten by 50k Desktop. And next gen will render all current laptops obsolete, and we all may need to upgrade our desktops for 1080p--60fps gaming. My laptop lasted 2-3 years only because the console ports never demanded latest hardware for playable FPS. The PC centric games like Witcher 2, BF3 raped the laptop, whereas console ports like ME2, MW series, Skyrim etc ran smooth as butter. Come next gen, my laptop will be incapable of decent gaming even while playing console ports. Laptops are good at portable gaming, especially for the current gen games, which run smoothly at 720p.
