Building a desktop after 8+ years. Flipkart screwed up delivery.

yes, that's the condition of the box when I opened the package. One HSF pillar is stuck, can't be moved up/down.

You can see how the pillar is "jammed" in.

The one on the far right is the bad one.

Another view of the bad pillar.

slacker asked me to drop down to i5 3330 & get a 7780, but the price difference was too much & couldn't afford it. As it is I was 4k over budget, couldn't afford more.

Memory:

Got these in the mail today (Bumper for nearly $30 after tax and shipping, around $11 for the skin with the textured finish) :

Slap on the official bumper from Google, a new Titanium-finish back from DBrand Inc. and my Nexus 4 had its makeover:

Looks even better in person and it goes very well with the bumper. The Nexus logo shines through in silver. The skin is amazing... never felt a proper texture this good on Vinyl. They have a black titanium finish coming in a few months, might get that too.

@dinjo: Is that the Da Vinci book you were looking for ? Pop up looks fab. Congo ! :good:

@Sathya: Wow. That packing is atrocious. And for me the first time I'm seeing FK goof up that bad. I was thinking of getting upgrades for my PC from FK, now having 2nd thoughts. :|

I think Cyberwarfare from TechEnclave will corroborate on this evidence, ordered for a Western Digital drive from flipkart and gets a damp squib in a measly box pack. Asks for a replacement + improved packing, gets a second DoA drive with a thin film of bubble wrap on it.

Avoid hard-drives and such sensitive stuff from flipkart their near rabid inventory diversification has lead to a dilution in the overall quality of packaging because of the lack of expertise / experience handling such stuff.

Congratulations to all on this thread. Hopefully I will add something more worthwhile next time I bump this thread. Cheers!

^^ They packed my CM Hyper T4 pretty efficiently. :|

They pack most stuff pretty well but some times we see issues like the pictures above and what happened to Cyber.

Really inconsistent on their part.

whats so good about it? :scratchchin: its only 520W

Well I got it for half-price thanks to a coupon. Also, this is one of the better 520W units out there which can power the likes of a HD7950 3GB / GTX670 2GB. And since when does the show off thread start segregating on such arbitrary lines.

Its just the way you introduced it...i thought it has something very special about it...so asked.

Sorry, I made it underwhelming then. :samui:

It is something of a stepping stone to further upgrades down the line.

But you wont be able to do a crossfire with a 520W PSU.

Who wants to CrossFire / SLi, single powerful GPU is much better and power efficient for most current generation titles. I have a gaming RIG does not mean everything goes to making it the most awesome machine, can live with limitations.
