Surprisingly, only the top box was open. The set was still sealed inside the smaller box. And no extra customs. Wasn't there during delivery so couldn't check how much was actually charged, but nothing was asked (so couldn't be more than 40$). Decent DAC + cans will cost some moolah which is impossible to spare at the moment. Plus we'll be shifting in a year or so, so spending on something which is based on the size of your room, space etc right now is a waste for me. Amazon shows plenty in stock (accepts 999 if you enter in the quantity field while ordering) and loads of orders were cancelled (members of blu-ray.com) when it finally came to chow down 150$. Some people are betting this will hit a low price, around 100$ sometime soon, though I have my reservations. Custom HT straight from Stereo Why not the HTiB route -- as I see it there is a learning curve to it since not everyone perceives sound same way -- so HTiB exposes you to the new sound experience then one figures out what sort of a gear they want since every component brings its own touch to the tonality.
