Shantz
^^ Wish it serves you well. Enjoy tinkering, where did you source it from? Farnell/Element 14. Around 6k in all for 2 barebones (1 for me and 1 is a gift). I have most of the other stuff lying around (cards/cables/power adapters/uart/pin headers etc) so didn't buy that. Ordered on sunday night and received on wednesday (because cc didn't work and had to NEFT the amount to them so lost a day) Edited July 5, 2013 by Shantz
Solitaire
Thanks guys. The problem is those headsets only looks good and does not sounds good. I beg to differ, they sound really good and the reviews back them up against ones that are twice as expensive. Apart from the fact that they are slightly bass heavy (easily remedied through equalizer settings, just reduce bass a bit - slide the 60Hz slider down a little), there is absolutely nothing wrong with these cans. Also I have to give them credit for their great cables, I myself need one, plus you can easily change the metal bling bling Great buy though Edited July 5, 2013 by abhinit90

Which review - Every single Amazon and Newegg review (as in user reviews - people who've used them), Head-fi, Slashgear and some lesser review websites. This was considering the original launch price of $250 (I got them for $75 remember?) 2. Equalize them to perfection - Errr, no, reduce the bass. I'm pretty sure most music players worth their salt can do it without having a million equalizer settings. I've been using VLC on the PC and Poweramp on the phone. And get through around 25-50hrs of burn-in. Out of the box they're not as clear as they should be. Problem is most people pick them up, plug them in and expect to be blown away immediately. You can tune down bass, but you can't create better bass in a headphone that isn't designed for it (eg. Sony's MDR 7506 which lacks in bass but is good in other areas). Well most reviews on headfi is what I'm talking about Which version are these? 2. Well let's just say that reducing bass hampers the overall quality, I'll leave it at that. And yes you can create better bass in an MDR7506, or the V6, just not by equalization. Also it's the first that I've heard that the V6 or the 7506 lacks in Bass. To rephrase what DinJo said, and in order to avoid some confusion I'll just say that "I wish these headphones sounded as good as their look". I disagree about reducing bass hampering quality in any way. I'll just say this - I've used the V6s and didn't like them, I need my HPs to be heavier on bass. Not Beats heavy, but heavier. I listen to everything from classical piano to EDM and I've not found these lacking yet. If you're gonna come back and compare them to P5s or something, then that's just not in the same <$100 class. As far as Head-fi goes, here's a nice rebuttal of the bad reviews - http://www.head-fi.org/t/613371/vmoda-crossfade-lp-why-all-the-bad-reviews Edited July 5, 2013 by Solitaire

SHould I list all the several threads proclaiming the bad quality about them? At the end of the day, these small squabbles are of no use. If you enjoy them then great, on the other hand if you aren't satisfied with even a much higher priced headphone then it's of no use. Are they comfortable? abhi90
Do report back if the sound changes after burn-in, I need to see if they change or "transform" I'm always concerned about comfort when it comes to on-ear headphones. Partly because sometime back I had an absolutely horrid pair of on-ears.

Haha, was just kidding. I'll not be wearing them while driving I just like the whole red-and-black theme. I don't like on-ears and I've had enough of in-ear ones.
