XephY Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 A brief essay on what I bought in the last 2 weeks : 1.It all started with a lease to this suburban home, which comes with a barbecue grill and a back yard, an entertainment center in the basement(PS3, PS2 and a 50" TV), and a Canadian roomie to boot, who can play Guitar Hero on expert and never lets the beer supply in the fridge run out, 2. Then I got a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo which saves me the trouble of walking back and forth between school and home(its gonna serve me well when it snows ), no gunshot windows as you can see keyofx, 3. rahul Posted September 13, 2008 Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 (edited) got my laptop today, Dell 1525.. too lazy to take the pics.. intel core2duo @2.00ghz 3gig ram 250gig hard drive.. standard intel x3100 onboard gfx.. just for programming n stuff.. (will play cod4 though ) keyboard is fantastic, screen is glossy but not too much of reflection either. only complaint is that the mousepad gets warm over extended use. seems they havn't managed cooling effectively this time. really irritating.. Although Macbook Pro's get more hot than Macbook because its made of aluminum plus hotter Nvidia GPU's. The only down side is that neither notebook can be allowed to close the lid while you are downloading this is because there are vents on the side of the keyboard too and if you close the lid, the laptop will go to sleep. If you somehow still manage not to make it sleep and close the lid while the system is working, u will end up with a f**ked up LED screen because the vents are constantly pushing out hot air.
