You should have bought the Xperia instead. The best of both worlds. Sony hardware, M$ software.

Wish we had a game console with that combination.

Incorrect. Its not Sony's Hardware, its HTC.

Anyway Good buy HP.

Now we have a better phone that we can use to take good pics in the meet :)

Becareful with the stylus though, i have heard the phone doesn't come with a stylus slot.

Get some good applications and start with Opera browser for WinMo, the best browser for mobile devices in this world :)

:)

we all know

Actually, my "know" is much different from what others know. :)

Thats because some of the source code written by me forms an integral part of this phone (Well, same goes for Xperia as well, and for many many others there in the market)

Yes, the hardware is by HTC. Sony realized it was better to outsource the work to the best in the market instead of taking the risk of doing it internally.

They did most of the work for the UI shell though.

Thanks LA. I almost picked up HTC diamond, but then this shopkeeper let me use his Omnia for a while and after that these was nothing else to decide.

Separate stylus is kinda sucky. it gonna hang like a dick from the phone. I didnt see any option to use the mp3 as ringtones. I so depressed but later I figured out a way to do so. Phone comes with truck load of applications including opera and ie. Somehow I find opera better. Suggest some good free apps.

^ can't think anything off hand but grab Pimbackup. You should install it immediately and take regular backups of contacts/sms and other important things.

Also grab Klaxon :

The best alarm clock available at the moment. Works on sensors which is very cool.

Also grab Coreplayer to any kind of video on your phone ~ http://www.coreplayer.com/

Although i don't own the Diamond anymore the problem with Diamond is that the stock rom is overloaded. Once you flash with a custom rom, its fast like hell. Its got 192mb ram and 528mhz of proc after all although its Qualcomm but w/e . Also one needs to keep in mind is that HTC has built TF3D from ground up.

now that you mentioned, i think HTC diamond was bit sluggish compared to omnia. damage 33500. There is another thing i noticed between diamond and omnia. With diamond you need the stylus for 20-25% operations where as need for stylus with omnia is much lesser. They are saying when nokia 5800 comes out it will have almost no need for the stylus.

The Iphone already did that..:)

The 5800, being a resistive screen, is still a lot of times dependant on your nail rather than your finger.

^Oh u tried it out too :). I hated the messaging part where you have to scroll through the contacts and a lot of times the buttons on the screen as well as the media button felt unresponsive. Yes, it has loads of features blah blah blah and is 20k, but if you're keen on a touchscreen, IMO people should stay away from it, or atleast get a feel of how it works before u take the plunge
