lastAvenger Posted January 19, 2009 Report Share Posted January 19, 2009 (edited) The 17" has one of the best screens seen on any laptop (1920x1200 LED screen) But the unit is way too big to be used as a laptop and 17" IMO is overkill for a portable machine. The 15" model has the same quality screen as the 17" only with a lower resolution (1440x900). But the difference between this screen and the one on the new 13" MacBook is pretty significant, which is why i returned the 13" and plopped for a MBP. I'll upgrade the RAM to 4GB at a later date. But as of now, I'm loving every minute of it. My only complaint so far is that it doesnt have Front Row. I dunno but i kinda prefer the keyboard of the old MBP to the new one but the touch pad of new one is really nice. I will be upgrading my hdd and ram too this time when i go back home. I want to pick the new 17" MBP but its gonna kill me in debts since it won't be costing less than 1 lac 50k atleast. My screen resolution is the same too but mine is the 2.5" Proc MBP. I think buying a MBP was the best thing i ever did. <3 APple OT : Apple needs to be shot for not bundling a Blu-ray drive internally or externally selling it, its a shame especially when Apple was supporting Blu-ray format Edited January 19, 2009 by lastAvenger Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
