Kazekage Gaara
Nyko Intercooler TS Ordered it via KMD. Costed me 2 grand, but it's really worth it. Keeps the console really cool when the climate gets really hot during afternoon gaming sessions . Automatically turns off when the console is cool enough Got really lucky with the power adapter too, it turned out to support an input of 100v to 240v, so it's working without any stepdown converters, just plug and play Edited December 12, 2009 by Kazekage Gaara
supersim
Coolers rarely make a difference. The 360 will RROD when it wants to. 2k gone down the drain then ? Edited December 12, 2009 by simmy
Kazekage Gaara
Well, from what I've seen, the cooler has really made a difference. I would say it's cooling the 360 at least 75% more than usual, which is more than enough for me You can clearly feel the heated air that thing puts out and away from the console, and the bottom part (bottom of the motherboard) doesn't feel as hot as it used to, hence the percentage Edit: I did a whole lotta research before buying this, and came to a conclusion that the people who feel this isn't required or doesn't make any difference are either from a country where the climate is really cold or their 360s are running in an air conditioned room I've spoken to quite a few people on the internet who either live in a tropical climate or don't have an air conditioned room, and their room temperatures are somewhat equivalent to Indian temperatures, and they said the Intercooler actually really did make a difference Edited December 12, 2009 by Kazekage Gaara

arun360
Heat is the primary cause of the RROD and anything that has a mitigating effect prolongs the life of the console. I currently have a USB fan for this purpose. It isn't pretty and does a half baked job, pun intended. I'll gladly chose this mature alternative. The Intercooler TS is 2K shipped, KG? Here's the quote I received from KMD... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16868998019 $19.99 + $6.98 (US Shipping to NY) + $0 (NY Tax) = $ 26.97 Shipping weight = 2lbs Price = Rs. 1,995 + 50 (local shipping) = 2,045/- I accepted. Placed the order last week and received it yesterday Yeah well the architecture of the damn console is such that it rarely makes a difference imho. Either way interesting to see how long it prolongs the inevitable. That actually is true, but something is better than nothing right Also, installing and playing your games from the Xbox 360 HDD also makes a lot of difference since there is no laser reading, there is no trapped heat between the drive and the mobo Edited December 12, 2009 by Kazekage Gaara

PS3 is one heck of a stable and awesome machine Edit: Just had a 3-hour L4D2 mulitplayer session with my cousin. The Xbox was being kept really cool. When I told him to touch the motherboard side of my Xbox 360, he was shocked too. It was hot only a little tinsy bit compared to the "heating iron" we used to get earlier Edited December 12, 2009 by Kazekage Gaara
