Atom platform uses Intel's GMA tech for display, whereas Ion is by Nvidia, where the display used is equivalent to a 9400GS ( If I am not wrong..).. So you can play your HD videos and do light P-Shopping etc. on the netbook.. Recently netbooks will have Ion 2, which is even more powerful..!! Time to throw away your Mac i guess..
