Solitaire
@that sig.... omg i got me a dog at home too, and i sleep off often. Btw how is airtel's service? Any of you airtel users here in Chennai? Do you get a lot of downtime? And if your connection goes down how fast do they rectify it?
vbhoj74
Guys, I recently switched to Airtel Tourbo 1299 from BSNL. I was using a Netgear DG384G router earlier, and had set the same to work with Airtel. For about 10 days it worked perfectly, then suddenly KZ2 started to give me a lot of lag. Otherwise everything else was working perfectly. I switched to the airtel supplied router of some Beetel brand. With this router I dont get any lag. But this is a stupid router which keeps hanging atleast 2-3 times daily and I've to give it a power cycle. On the other hand the DG834G works flawlessly for weeks. I compared the setting on both routers, and they seems to be the same (see the basic settings below). Then why does my netgear router started to lag on the PS3 when it wrked perfectly for the starting 10 days on the same connection ? PPPoE VPI: 1 VCI: 32 LLC Based G.DMT What am I missing ? thanks. Shantz
but dont update blindly..for all you know it might make it worse or even brick it... Try going to forums and read through them.. Netgear has pretty active forums i think..
Anshul
Hey peeps, Is there anyone on the forum who's using an Airtel 2mbps package for x-live...like: Combo 777 / Combo 999? If yes, then is it any good or do they cheat you on speed? -Thanks Actually it's faster than they promised. I get 260-270 kbps download speed. vbhoj74
update the firmware - hunt around on the net and you'll get a copy Already updated it to the latest. Funny thing is, on both the routers the speed test is the same, still KZ2 lags.

Bro, the connection is not lagging for me with the Airtel supplied router, but only when I use my own Netgear router.
vbhoj74
I'm a happy guy today as I'm back online with my fav netgear router. The Airtel router had the firewall disabled, so I went ahead and disabled the port scan & DOS on the netgear, and voila no lags. Guess it was blocking some genuine KZ2 server packets. LagWarriorZergey
i am using airtel 2 mbps unlimited and so far no problems, excellent support and download speeds. Yeah i think 2mbps is the best n optimum plan for home users... I tried 8mbps limited woow had a really nice bill by the end of the month. The download was freakin incredible but it wasn't constant. Even the engineers where sayin airtel isn't providing enough facilities to handle for home users.. So 2mbps unlimited FTW
