Mel81x Posted December 11, 2010 Report Share Posted December 11, 2010 @Avi: Love the S+D rendition but it sounds a bit deflated when the tempo is that low doesn't it? why dont you try doing a slide-release on the first note? that way your fingers get to move down to the hammering section without losing tempo and giving you time for the index finger to setup the tapping? Still very good work. I have an acoustic and just haven't had the time to practice lately. Used to play Bass a long time ago but I have moved over to rhythm and arpeggio acoustic now. Yeah I have tried a slide-release but it's pretty tough to nail this song as one error in the intro and everything starts sounding different. The delay between the first and second note of the song in my recording is longer than what it should be but the problem is if I try playing the song faster, I lose the rhythm and start going very fast at the start and then slow down later. So the change in pace is very noticeable. By playing this way it helps keeping the tempo constant Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
