I mean, I just thought just to popularise orders, the vendors used to custom make t-shirts and sell them by printing pre-rendered designs/pictures on them. Ala, something like the fake football t-shirts you get with player name printings. After about 10-15 washes, it starts peeling or disappearing. I could be wrong, but that would seem like an awful lot of efforts to put it in to promote a game product that already has a commercial name, value and reputation; or the company itself. Well, they would be outsourcing it some manufacturer/factory. They give them the basic design, and the factory prepares the patterns for mass production. This is what happens everywhere, be it Myntra, or your local brands like Nike, Gap or even high street brands like Hilfiger or Diesel. In Consoul's case, I am guessing it was their first time they were dipping their toe in this and they dealt with a bad factory. Since the order qty was probably not more than 400-500 pcs, I dont think they could afford a qualified QA to inspect the goods in-line or at the end-line either. No offense to jiggy or anyone else, but you should not expect a very high quality from such tee shirts anyway. Fabrics used will be of low quality. Even printing methods used would not be using the latest machines. Even top brand tee shirts lose their feel and shine after multiple washes. Because of the delay in production they ended up being shipped as soon as they were received; unfortunately at a time when neither me or anip were available. The final print was not up to specification and being already late, it was just criminal...The same factory has produced all the other merchandise and has done a good job at it. We took a couple of days to decide but then paid for a re-print. which scamster would do that. you are not willing to see that we did do a reprint. @deathstryke : we get all our T's screen-printed. no matter whether we have a small quantity. The only reason is that we want to ensure quality. every pre-order freebie of ours has been below 100 numbers, screen printed in multiple colours, 180 gsm 100% cotton. our designer is a professional was working as a designer in a national apparel brand. He was responsible for 3-4,00,000 tshirts with his graphics sold every season. I am new to this, but he is not. He's a hardcore gamer himself to top it all.... we started doing freebies together to provide a class product for gamers. Freebies from TDL: 1. If I were looking to invest in your company and came across these incidents as part of my due-diligence exercise, I would be highly inclined to walk away from the deal. I do not believe that your setup intentionally scams customers, however the manner in which you deal with grievance redress is disturbing to say the least. As someone had stated in this thread, its the attitude that seems to be off the mark. All right folks. The time you started renting out a game from us, we were charging 150 Rs per day for a game. you have been our loyal customer since the time we started, we decided to charge you for one month and give u the service for 6 months. Consider yourself as a privileged customer. It was a new service we has started then and this was merely a promotional offer. during this period, it is up to you to rent 200 games or 1 game. there were no restrictions. the rental period allowed for 1 game is 1 week, after which it is given to the person in queue or it can be re-issued by you. In your case we allowed it for 2 weeks, again a privilege that was given to you. and sometimes u kept the game for 3-4 weeks and we still did not question you. You package was: one time deposit of Rs 4000– non refundable. Validity – 6 months. Unlimited rental. Rental period per game – 2 weeks max. I don't really know what you are upset about. You renting few games during that period, bcoz u had your board exams? Did u ever call me up and tell me that u were feeling cheated? Avishkar, the entire deal was discussed you with. In person at consoul and whenever u wanted a game you either called me or discussed it at yahoo messenger. I am quite disappointed with the statements you have made. Either you got it all wrong, or you did not pay attention when the deal was decided. If you think you have felt cheated or if you are unhappy with deal. You can call me or drop in to our store sometime. I am willing to work out a rental plan only for you, where we would give a free 2 month rental compensating the time when u had your exams and were not using our service. we have added a lot more games in our collection, the library is now huge, maybe u should come by sometime and check it out. you need not be so upset about it. use the service again, we'll give u a special deal this time please be aware that it that it is a limited period deal, with unlimited rentals during that course of time. We are not here to cheat anyone. its a legitimate business, that we are running and we would give you the value for what you have paid us. we have seen people getting overly disappointed over issues such as game reaching them a day late (gears of war 2), sometime there are delays from the distributors end and such things are not in our control. pointing fingers all the time or blaming does not help, u have to co-operate with us, in case of a delay. from our end the game has always been dispatched on time. if ever there has been any delays, its 99% from the suppliers end or 1% the courier service. @Jigsaw, i would have added you to the pre-order of black ops, if you would have behaved in a respectful manner. Agression in business is the peak from where one starts to climb down. I'm not taking sides, but I just did not like the language, it was like take it and keep quiet, and "YES COMPLAINTS WILL BE TREATED WITH AN IRON HAND". And anip, a few caring words is all a customer wants, even if he's got the wrong end of the stick for no fault of his. I like that you *want* to make the difference and see your customers happy and satisfied.. and thats all that matters.. But.. that last line.. the one i bolded.. i don't think that was necessary. That one line alone might drive away any few interested folks. Anip, you may be big over at your own forums, but here at IVG there's lots of vendors who are more than willing to bend over backwards to "gain & retain" business. Maybe you didn't mean it... and perhaps it just came out wrong. I'm willing to give you the benefit of doubt on that one.
