Just invented ( by?) to make you keep buying games for one platform, you won't even enjoy gaming on other platforms once you get to an addiction point. I left this last year and gaming is so much fun and better now. Or if its a game like say Halo Reach where getting 1000 GS is fun, I go for it. Although its easier to show off trophies than Achievements. Like, "hey, I have a platinum in Warhawk or Demons Soul's !" the other guy goes "OMG".
