https://www.amazon.in/LG-inches-Ultra-43UM7300PTA-Built/dp/B07VL2K9R1

LG 43UM7300, costs 40K exact, IPS panel 43 inches, 4K, HDR10 + HLG and has LG's WebOS, 4x HDMI and 2x USB.

I had an eye on this .

Hope it continues to be cheap even in offline stores. :fear:

Naice. I thought about getting one of them cheeni brands but this one looks good.

I dont get this. On one hand govt is restricting import of colour tv , and on the other hand this chinese brand is launching in India. What gives?

Either the Hisense maal is already in country in Amazon's various warehouses which is the most likely case, otherwise it is an announcement made too soon.

I mean Modi Sarkar loves giving shock to people, remember DeMon?

btw this is not a proper ban, just color tv's are on restricted list, you need a license from Govt to be able to import TVs from abroad, also i don't think this farman is retroactive, so doesn't cover import prior to yesterday  afaik :fear:

again this is always a shot at the type of pseudo state owned cheeni brand that doesn't intend to setup assembly line here, unlike Xiaomi and BBK electronics, as a "befitting reply" to the Chinese squatting going on in Galwan

Xiaomi, TCL, trade bodies welcome TV manufacturing restrictions to boost Make in India

According to article TCL already has a plant in Tirupati, AP :ko:

TV imports restriction won't impact LG, Panasonic, Sony; move to boost domestic production

basically they intend to make the paperwork to acquire the license to import much more painful than it would be to get hold of some OEM and get them to run an assembly line for you in the country.

Probably will filter out those out to make a fast buck, companies who are in India for the long game will comply and start manufacturing here tho.

How is this tv as compared to Motorola and Nokia?

I am a sony fanboy so that would've been my first preference. Since my sister's buying it I can only suggest if it is any good.

I recommend this website if you want to get a Genuine remote for Imported TVs, I was looking for a remote for my Samsung 55K SUHD KS9500 which I got from Dubai but only found cheap OEM remotes all over amazon and ridiculous pricing for original one. Finally found on this website and ordered skeptically. Ordered on July 15th, shipped from Czech republic received at home today in Bangalore, Genuine and works perfectly.

It is miles ahead if you compare it to Nokia or Motorola. Though, there are better options available at this price point, even sony's own x8000H is sometimes available at around 80k which is a much better TV.

Sony hands down! By far!!

Actually that particular sony tv will be available for 64K during sale on Flipkart. Since the budget is not too high even 64k would be a stretch.

So this particular model is x7400h. It is a good buy right?

My main reason being that someone commented that entry level LG tvs are not good. So the same should not be the case with sony.

Yes. I have seen the reviews. It is good. Surely better tvs are available but for sony this is best in this price range!

This is better version at same price (x7500h), I think this is just 2020 version of the same, so I don't know why you don't wanna go with this. On sale it will be less than 70k for sure. In fact, in normal days it comes down to under 70k.

That doesn't answer my question as I am torn between a motorola and sony.

I am not interested in a samsung or lg.

I have a Sony, Lg and Samsung. Sony is above them. VU, motorola and so on can't be compared with Sony. If your budget permits I will always recommend Sony.

Even this one has good reviews.

Compairing Sony and Motorola is like compairing a Mercedes to a Maruti 800.

Panel quality in Sony is much superior in Sony/LG/Samsung. If you're buying it as a primary TV, I would say go with Sony.

If you want it as a secondary TV and want to save money, then yes you could go with Motorola , Nokia, VU etc.

This is a different model. I don’t think it’s gone on sale yet

It's going on sale later in the year is what I read in the news covering the launch.

Also kind of wished these high end models also come in smaller sizes. 65 inch is huge for people living in small flats. I rarely see qled, oled in smaller screen sizes.
