Kohinoor was a really shady place back a decade ago. Our local game importer shop told me not to buy stuff from them as they take out good parts and swap with used ones and sell. Did that change now?

I have heard this said about any place that offers good prices. People say this about Alfa also but I haven't yet met anyone who actually faced a problem like this. You'll anyways get a box packed piece.
Cool lemme know what price and which offers you are quoted by them. I'll visit them when i go to check other shops.

Anybody tried vijay sales ? I never actually go to them they are very late with stocks. I remember when croma and sony center had my w700c new launched model 5 years back VS were still selling w700b and said they'd take more time to get it. So not sure how their produvt quality/availability and service is

Kohinoor used to be legit good, don’t know if they still are. VIjay Sales completely overtook them in the couple of years to the point they are actually pretty difficult to find now.

If I am correct Alfa is all grey imported mask without warranty, won’t risk buying such expensive items from there.

Even I wanted to know what’s up with Vijay Sales in Mumbai these days. Do they rave good stocks and prices? Also is it safe to visit these places? Wanted to buy an AC and fridge too from them considering the sale on Amazon wasn’t that great and flipkart too was pretty meh.

If I am correct between Navratri and Diwali is the best sale time for physical stores but given the corona situation not really sure if it’s safe to visit them.

If only the 48" model was available in India. I am sure soon the top 3 will start making smaller OLED/QLED models with HDMI 2.1

Gist of video - 48 inch LG CX panels are made in china, LG has 2 factories for panels one in paju other in some Chinese city, the Chinese factory is the only multi glass factory, one mother glass can make 4 panels, 2 77 inch and 2 48inch, that is why the 48 inch model is so scarce.

On top of that with india and china at a tense point who knows what will happen to panel imports.

Personal query, anyone know what is the oled panel replacement cost, the sony guy who came to check my old tv said oled panels are costlier, upon asking the x90h panel price i was told no panels of that TV have any problems yet but might be around 30k.

So if LG panels are costly than sony as he had told me then how much, i need a general idea? This is not me being negative about a non-bought future TV, but I'm taking into account all the info. in order to make the best decision as a buyer and a user.

I don't think he's correct. Panels are like 80% of the cost of a TV typically. I highly doubt that a Sony FALD panel will be replaced for 30k. The actual figure might be double of that.

LG is anyways giving 3 years comprehensive warranty and you can extend it by 2 years for 18k.

AFAIK LG is offering discount on extended warranty. So extra 2 years will cost about 8-9k right now. Pretty great deal.

How much discount are they offering ? Their OLED warranty is 45-50k on an yearly basis, 75k-ish for 2 years and 98k-ish for 3 years.

This is only for 4th and 5th year.

And I tried that site. Can't select an old purchase date.

Two more months and warranty is going to run out :P

Both LG C9 and CX are shown to have poor colour calibratiom out of the box and after a pro calibrator calibrates it it becomes great.

Do we have pro-cibrators in mumbai or we have to do it oursves? Can we do that easily and without voiding the warranty?
