In case of False advertising as blatant as this, Sony will have to do it because otherwise consumer court is quite pro consumer in such cases, I have seen some examples like this before.

I feel most likely they'll offer a bit of compensation for this. But i do hope you get to return it for full amount paid.

On the other hand Honestly even im tempted by the new xr series but in real world major AAA games above 60 fps is just not possible on this gen consoles unless graphics takes a massive hit.

Let's see, although I hope they release the update. Waiting for more sources to come through.

I can just cite that it's given on your website and in the manual I received and I am not getting what I bought.

New series look good, x95J will have HDMI2.1 support and that looks tempting.

Thinking of getting a cheap 4k TV to replace my Monitor.

Only problem is my old PC has VGA connector only. Any suggestions for TVs which has VGA port as well?

Extremely unlikely. Also, pretty sure you already know that you can't use your VGA cable for high resolutions (since the format lacks the bandwidth). From what I know you can only get 640x480 @ 60Hz via VGA. May be wrong.

However, if you still want to use your old PC with a modern PC, try getting a VGA to composite adapter. That's probably the only option you have.

Well that sucks.....I'll wait out till i get all the features in that size then

Anyways I'm in no hurries.....need a 4k tv by end of this year or 2022

Any reason you can't go 55"? It's going to be near impossible getting all the latest features in a size that small (and from a good brand), especially going forward.

Generally speaking, the TV world is moving toward bigger screen sizes. The sweet spot moved up to 65" from 55" in the last couple of years, so you'll see the best value in that size driven by global volumes from panel makers cutting more 65" panels from the best quality sheets to match demand. Pretty soon, a lot of the premium features will be reserved for models 65" and over.

Space constraints in my tiny a*s room

43” exactly fits my table....next to that table is my pc ....I’ll have to wall mount the tv if I buy 55”...which I don’t prefer to.

Waste, if you need a 43 inch with hdmi 2.1 wait for sony X85J but i wouldn't trust or buy a sony TV after the stunt they pulled. Wait and see what LG announces today

Yup officially, it is but most makers haven't shown their budget models, like sammy with Q60-Q80A, LG nanocell and qned, surprisingly the C1 which might as per FOMO's sources might become a budget line, i hope not though. Also i hope panasonic brings some new LCD/LEDs with hdmi 2.1. They are better with PQ than sony, i don't care for smart apps so if they bring gaming features with their PQ to LCD/LEDs then i'd be great.

Sony X85J has some of the gaming features in 43 inch size but it has lost it's image now with cheap sh*t they pulled and i won't trust them to give VRR after i trustingly get a sony TV.

Take it from me a person with similar circumstances like you, i made room for a bigger TV and that is anyday better than a 43 inch TV. Your daily driver TV needs to make you feel immersed, no matter what you think now of a 43 inch TV you'll be blown away by any good quality 50+ inch TV.

LG Display announces its smallest OLED TV panel yet - A new 42-inch panel is coming this year

Quote

That means that OLED TVs this year will be available in sizes of 42, 48, 55, 65, 77, 83, and 88 inches. LG Display says it’s also shipping a “next-generation” 77-inch panel that’s said to be around 20 percent more efficient and therefore capable of higher brightness than before, which has been a relative disadvantage of OLED TVs to date.

Sony’s 2021 TV lineup runs Google TV and fully embraces HDMI 2.1

Variable refresh rate, 4K at 120Hz, ALLM, and eARC are standard across the line

In 2021, Sony is correcting course: all of its premium “Bravia XR” 4K (and yes, 8K) TVs support 4K at 120Hz, VRR (variable refresh rate), ALLM (auto low latency mode), and eARC. No asterisks or gotchas or promises to add stuff later with firmware updates.

I am gonna sue them if VRR doesn't come to x90H. Or make them replace mine with J series. Won't go down well.
