I need a new one. The ones I have lying around have the same credibility as MSK Prasad as Chief Selector.

https://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B082GC5NN1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Got these. Thick AF. 900 gsm.

We use Softspun 350 gsm ones for wiping kitchen utensils. Works good. Decent brand.

Is the blue+grey same one that you are using for TV ? the yellow color is a bit getting to my eye

@NitroNeo

Bro your impressions of the 2021 LG C1 lineup?

Not many previews out yet. Not able to discern what exactly sets it apart aside of the slightly higher brightness maybe?

Along with update to webos to support geforcenow & steamlink

Yeah the webos UI seems to have changed i guess from what i could make out. I'm on a 2yr old set which has stopped getting os updates now. But from a new gen console perspective, anything that sets them apart from the CX?

More baked in HDMI2.1 support is the only thing which I am looking at. Will need reviews for that. Also, by the time sale season comes by, CX will be unavailable and C1 will be the only choice.

They're likely the exact same as 2020 TVs. G1 has higher brightness but will probably be very expensive. Have to see what they sacrifice in A1. BX has fewer 2.1 ports, lower brightness and older image processor. Maybe they'll remove 2.1 altogether on A1. Brightness can't be reduced further though.

C1 is the one I'm shooting for. Bas hua Yeh FALD ka faltugiri :ranting:

Yeah go for it. Remember to buy as close to Diwali as possible. I got FOMO and thought prices won't drop further but they just kept dropping till Diwali.

Do they come that late in the year or just that by diwali the price drops start happening?

I can pull through till diwali easy. Definitely getting that extended LG warranty too.

What do you mean by more baked in 2.1 support. CX supports every HDMI 2.1 feature without a hitch. There is a gamma issue where the brightness is slightly higher in dark areas sometimes with VRR enabled but it's pretty minor.

They are bringing in full bandwidth, 48Gbps across all 4 ports this time, atleast that is what I read. Gamma issue and game mode dimming is supposed to be covered by an update on CX but out of the box for C1. Plus, I also read that they will tweak VRR range for better experience.

Price drop happens by Diwali. Basically buy between Dussehra and Diwali. Last year the lowest prices I was quoted were on Dussehra and followed by a day before Diwali.

Some guy apparently got 55CX for 95-1L post cashback, I personally never saw that deal but 1.1-1.15L is quite doable.

Buy only around Diwali. At other times prices are bullshit. 1.6L for CX 55 with 1 year warranty. During diwali, 1.2L for CX 55 with 3 year warranty.

Accha awesome then. The wait will be arduous but well worth it :bounce:

I've been burnt by a store tv being chipkaofied that too after it had had a panel replacement before. Got to know only 2.5 yrs later via a brand engineer. So will be very cautious of a "too good to be true" wala deal also.

So hard to trust even big box stores after this incident.

Like you said not much is revealed. CX had great PQ already so i don't mind C1 nit having the brighter panel of G1. As if i could afford a G1 anyway since it will be higher cost and i may see this as LG shifting G1 to a more mainstream OLED series in future years.

The most important update to CX and mostly will be out of box for C1 is what robert zohn said in the video i posted yesterday. The HDR gama shift issue of CX has been fixed.

Though if that can reduce the price of C1 then great. From a console gamer's prespective gsync and stadia are not important for me but for the people it is aimed towards it's a important addon.

The only thing i did not like is the full screen OS it looks ugly AF. At least they should maks it like sony android to keep the ugly part to home screen only. I really hope it does not affect real time setting changes which are great for previews like eg. When we changd brightness etc the entire screen is visible to see the changes in real time and adjustment screen is just a small box at bottom or side as per brand.

Till now real time PQ setting changes have been very user friendly on sony LG, i forgot how samsung was.

And as for A1 it has a 60Hz panel so not ideal for gamers. For us only B1 and C1 matter of the new lot.

Overall I'm very excited for the new models. Just need to see them in real hands on videos.

Honestly, the biggest revelation for me is HDR on CX especially while playing video games. The contrast between dark areas and brightly lit ones is just amazing when HDR is implemented properly. Like if you leave a room and out into a sunny area, the sun gives out blinding light. I mean it's not really blinding but the contrast is what makes it stand out.
If you like games, get an OLED TV.
Great to hear that smooth transition is important.

Btw did you shift your residence to the other flat? If so how did you shift the oled?

I called up the guy who installed my set. Paid him 800 bucks.

I assume you didn't register a request with LG to move it? If we do that and if it gets damaged by the lg engineers does LG take responsibility?
