Old skool : Never ever use HDMI CEC. There is a girl made for every boy and a remote for every device.

Okay so just noticed a nice nifty thing on PS5s with X90H tv. If you enable the HDMI link on PS5, switching to the PS5 input would turn on the PS5 and turning off tv will put PS5 in sleep mode. Also the input name gets changed to Playstation 5 in tv menu and first time it does prompt to set few things up so Sony does have few things baked in for PS5 on their tvs. Should be possible in other TVs with HDMI link also but dont expect them to recognise PS5 and change the name of the input. 

 

Same issue on CX as well. I turned off CEC on the PS5

I like the HDMI CEC for the Series X that intro starting the TV and Bar both , CEC never ever worked on the One X

My LG soundbar managed to be a hair shorter than the CX. 

 

Cannot believe how huge that stand is at the back. I would have been SOL if I had to use a plank to increase the tv height

You guys were right all along. I spent a lot of time reading posts from Q4 2020 on this thread. 

OLED is the only way forward. Good grief I'm shocked, amazed and pants blown with this orgasmic Fidelity. Regretting not making the switch earlier.

Mine's a SJ5. Humble 2018 model. The engineer was like STFU it won't block the tv and I was dead certain it would

If these brands keep coming with such cheap options it is great for us customers in the end - will only force the bigger brands to lower their prices (which I have seen happening in the past 3-4 years).

Yes forgot to mention you too. I saw you also advocating OLED amidst those FALD discussions. 

Boy this is a revelation. Not having to see those disgusting dimming zones light up happily in dark scenes. Everything just looks picture perfect in still or motion. 

 

The engineer peeled off one plastic film but is there another one?? 

There's one on the back which my Indian wife doesn't want to remove.
