Aise hi hota hai. Even I sgarted with 55k budget. But I gave options in all segments, right? 50k - Toshiba, 70k - Frame.

Uske upar doesn't make sense to spend for substandard tech like Sony X90h. If you're spending that much, might as well get the real deal OLED.

x90H is still going for 83k. I would say that there is no point in going with Frame. Either get Sony or CX.

I always thought x90H is 90k+. But yeah, it's better than frame at 83k.

It's hard to haggle with Sony products but I personally got it around launch for 81.8k and since then that same guy has sold 4 more sets via my reference at that price.

Comes and goes out of stock, literally flying off the shelves.

Too costly for my blood.

So I need to dish out at least ~50K for a decent 4K experience. What about those Mi 4k TV?  Sorry for the dumb question, but what exactly makes a, say 30K Mi4k TV worse than 50K LG/Samsung TV?

Will have to wait another couple of days for installation ONLY because I want a table-top set-up.

Here's the ordeal:

Apparently, since OLEDs are expensive, LG India doesn't provide the wall-mount bracket or the table-top stand with the box.

The guy who comes for the installation gets it. I learned that today, and was still somewhat okay with it.

However, the LG technician said that if I want a wall-mount set-up, then he can come in an hour after the TV is delivered and do it. But, since I want a table-top set-up, then it will take 2 days as they don't have the table-top available and he has to place an order and it will be with him in 2 days. :fogug:

The reason (he said) is that most customers go for a wall-mount, so they keep that in stock.

I mean, what in the world is this. I can't help but get the feeling that I'm being penalised JUST for choosing to have a table-top set-up.

Raised this on twitter with Reliance Digital and LG India. Only Reliance Digital got back to me and apologised and requested for me to wait until Tuesday as they checked with LG and there is no way that the installation can happen today.

What a way for a Sunday to be ruined. I had already decided which movie and game I'd want to watch on it first. :fogug:

I think this has started with C9 or CX. I have the C8, and it has table mount inside the box, and we got the wall mount for free during installation.

Kinda funny LG stopped giving table top stand because the TV is very expensive. So you're penalizing customers for buying the premium range, what kind of stupidity is this.

Lol ya and any idea if I want a table top later how much will that cost :fear1:

Acha, is it not good for 34k though? Reviews seem good.

It'll show you a picture on screen. Bare minimum. Don't expect it to look good or anything.

That said, it's more a problem if you start comparing with more expensive models. Ignorance can be bliss, sometimes :P

Yea, I had to wait a week to get mine. The box was just sitting at home till then, lol.

Hope they actually get it by Tuesday. They had no stands available in Bangalore and had to ship mine from NCR or something :/

Haha. These big tech channels and their fancy techs have ruined most of us. A few years ago I was like "Yeh 1000 rupay ka hai...wow mast hoga", now I'm like "yeh sirf 1000 rupay ka hai....? khaas nhi hoga" :P

This.

The best tv is always the one you have at home.

No. Absolutely Not!

My brother has Onida smart HDTV and it shows content in SD. Literally!

Even if you don't compare it to anything, it looks shitty and that my brother knows from day 1. He is tolerating it but he is gonna change that TV soon.

Sometimes, there are just shitty things in the world and its not just our perspective that makes it so lol
