Getting Sony X82L 65” for 86k worth it?

will be used for OTT and occasional gaming sessions on ps5

ps: it lacks VRR :(

also please suggest some decent soundbars, max upto 15-17k

are samsung b55/sony hts400 good?

Why compensate on vrr if u plan to game on it. Maybe getting an lg OLED 55 inch at 90k is possible? What's your budget like?

Not sure about the Sony bar but the Samsung b55 seemed decent to me at the showroom. Heard it only briefly though as I'm looking out for an Atmos soundbar.

This tv will be in the living room and it will most likely not be treated too well :) thus avoiding oled.

also was targeting 65” if i can for reasonable amount. Primarily it will used by family to watch OTT and occasional gaming.

might just give up on vrr, as i cant find any 65” with vrr for less than 1.2L. (Can stretch my budget Max till 1L)

is it worth considering hisense u7k, heard good things about it from a friemd? Or any other chinese brand.

Oh ok then ya better not to get OLED. The Sony wala makes sense. Wait for next week as it'll sell even lesser during Diwali. Thought of recommending samsung qn90 qled. But the 65' variant is expensive af.

Have heard good things about u7k but no clue about it. Maybe someone with hisense experience on ivg can guide u regarding that.

It’s a good deal for 65 inch. I was getting the 55 inch for 69k. For living room this is a good tv because of its IPS panel.

Hunting for older models is pretty hard, searched for last year OLEDs from Sony/LG/Samsung in Gurgaon and it was pretty hard to find. Finally settled for Samsung S90C at 1.52L for 65", paid 17k for 2 years additional warranty too. Bought from Vijay Sales.

My Samsung Frame gone kaput today and kept restarting by itself.
Was told this is a known issue and the panel must be replaced for 50k as it’s out of warranty  :hi2:

(around 3.5 years old)

Never buying a Samsung TV again. sh*t quality control.

Hope you can get another 3-4 years out of it.

Search for Samsung boot loop issue. It’s shockingly common in TVs older than 2 years.

There are some workarounds possible by removing the back cover and taping up shorted lines but it’s out of scope for regular users.

Restarting being a panel issue is itself doubtful. But let's see. I think no way to extend warranty too.

Thanks for the heads up by the way.

OLED peeps, help me out.

Looking for a 55" LG C2.

What's a good price I should be looking at online or offline?

I don't want to go for another LED or FALD TV after my previous experience. Screw it.

C2 has been almost completely phased out.

I was getting it for 1lkh last I checked but some how I delayed the purchase.

Now C3 best price would be around 1.2lkh.

What about mini led and micro led?

You get what you pay for.

They are no match for OLED in terms of picture quality & VRR/Gamemode brightness & input lag.

I think C2/3 is the best value for money deal for enthusiastic gamers.

But budget mini LED like LG QNED are also satisfactory since you get all HDMI 2.1 features in low budget.

I looked at Hisense U7K, which has good reviews.

Any bigger brands like Sony will cost almost the same as C2, so no point.

Yup. Unless you are getting it for under 50k, it’s better to take the plunge and go for OLED with 5 year warranty.

I should’ve done this 3 years ago instead of going for Samsung QLED.

While the TV and the QLED tech itself is very good, such a short lifespan is just ridiculous, despite using it delicately.

And I’m seeing increasing number of cases where most QLED and FALD TVs are developing problems after 2-3 years.

I have an OLED since 2019, im aware of the benefits. But there are way too many cons as well.

Newer TVs are almost comparable in PQ to oled. There are differences but only noticeable when put side by side.
