Hes the only player apart from Auba n Willian who is world class and of Arsenal level. This is Mesut in 2020. World Class still. Its the freakin politics that he doesnt play. Arteta is making a huge mistake. Our mdf is sh*t, yesterday it was non existant as well. Very frustrating player to watch on the pitch. And I have never seen him perform in one big away game. Giving him that much of a contract was a big mistake, Arsenal can't get rid of him and no one's even gonna pay that amount of wages to him. Those sharp turns, dummies, using both feet, being physical, slick balls, working hard in the middle and getting out of tight spaces and those long balls also have that Santi smoothness. And I am talking about defensive responsibilities as a midfielder, no matter how good one is, he is a liability if he isn't efficient there. Emery didn't play him, Arteta isn't playing him in crucial matches, Why ? You pretend to know more than them ? Or they don't know either ?
