Mel81x
Those Oil-Owners have a way of shutting even the best managers up. I'd say stick with who you'll have and don't get greedy.

Joy
f**k U UEFA for giving a blind man for a ref. Rooney was clearly pulled back by that a*s diawara. he should have been sent offn we shd have had a free-kick. so many fouls against us were not given. i'm not saying we played well or deserved to win but the ref was plain sh*t. Â Nani had a really bad day. made stupid decisions. y do we even play gibson? scholes should hv started. he changed the whole game when he came on. Â +1 , I was also pissed at the referee , he was playing advantage on every United player being fouled , idiota. Â Man we miss Giggs to much on left , Nani had a poor game , but there was no supply from left. Park is also out of action for god knows how long. SchneideR
Those Oil-Owners have a way of shutting even the best managers up. I'd say stick with who you'll have and don't get greedy. Â I second that... Its not like SAF will be at the helm for a very long time. One or two seasons max. After that the whole saga of short term results over long term stability will start brewing and we could see managers after managers losing jobs in a jiffy. Â Also, more money would mean more unnecessary purchases (look at Mancity) which'd destroy team dynamics completely. We'd end up buying talented mercenaries and that'd hurt the team more than the current financial situation with Glazers. I really dont want the takeover to happen. Let things be the way they are. I am a big fan of the youth side. We have a good talent pool going on. Pogba, Ravel Morrison etc look good. Cleverley and Welbeck are doing very well for their respective loan sides. Hernandez and Macheda look class. Gibson has potential (points at his performance against Crawley). Â One GK and a solid attacking middie next season. Try to improve Bebe and Obertan. If they dont improve after being given ample opportunities, replace them. GGMU. Edited February 25, 2011 by SchneideR

However, that said what you said about team dynamics may not necessarily happen if the owners are smart and listen to the man at ground-zero aka the manager or el dottore. I think the big teams never really worry about replacements because someone is always knocking on their door saying "give me a chance" and lately we have started seeing vast improvements in how teams are promoting their youth. City takes special precedence here because they just have so much money its like buying a new horse every time one dies or gets fatigued. Â @Catalyst : ZOMG I showed that to my friend who is over and he said that guy just doesn't like his face enough lol Edited February 25, 2011 by Mel81x

SAF commands that authority. Yes. But I doubt if anyone else who takes over SAF will ever get that freedom or respect that is essential to run the team. Mel81x
i don't doubt that they do but when you look at the side that the current owners are fronting its not really promoting that is it?
shekdown
Aah ok, thats what you meant when you said that. Yep, absolutely true. It definitely beats down the homegrown talent and youth system. Look at Chelsea. They've invested so much in their youth system and they have some quality youth products, but they are not even getting a look in, or a chance to break into the main team. Its definitely difficult. Mel81x
and then they are loaned out and they get game time elsewhere and sometimes don't want to come back because first team football is a dream for them.
