Mel81x
wow some awesome angry comments post that RM vs Barca game hehe. I remember the wonder years for Madrid and damn were they ever some good years. You knew when they progressed that lifting the title was inevitable. These days no one is really sure because even if you have the most well-oiled team, anyone can come and derail you. The second leg will surely be very exciting and I can't wait to see them meet and finally decide who moves on. This won't sit well with UEFA and I think that fines are probably on the way. Biscuit should not play in a semi-final or quarter-final ever again because he seems to the be the poster boy for "grab my face and make like my world just ended"
DevilsOwn
Mel, the thing about those fines that UEFA are talking about all seem to be directed towards madrid. which is an absolute shame. barca will come out of this all clean, maybe with one action against their reserve goalie, the one who was red carded. things like these just make me wonder if it would be better for the top leagues to make that talked about "super-league" and fuc-k UEFA and FIFA. Bunch of slimy, toothless mouth-pieces

shekdown
As much as I hate to say it, the best team always wins the league. Every team gets a bit of luck and bit of bad luck. Some more than the others, but you cant justify the table just because of that. Maybe a match or 2, but not 38. Upto 2 months back, I would have completely disregarded an opinion which was "Man Utd are the best team in the league. FACT. blah blah". It would have been quite blatantly wrong then, in my opinion, because squad wise, they arent close to Chelsea, Man City or Arsenal. But what they have is mentality and the best manager in the world, and maybe even in history(I havent seen enough of Chapman or Trappatoni, in their prime to judge them) of football. And this counts and this is exactly what sees the team through. They have a squad with winners and a great mix of experience and youth. At the end of the season, you compare the same squads of the 2 teams. What they were at the start, what they are now. My opinion when I had compared then, and I compare now, would have changed inconsiderably. Arshavin > Nani? Naa Rosicky > Park? Naaa Denilson > Gibson/Anderson? Naa Bendtner > Hernandez? Nope Chamakh > Hernandez? Nope Diaby > Fletcher? Lol, no. And those are the players who should have stepped up and outperformed their counter parts, they didnt. In the end, the best team will win. The best team is Man Utd this season.
prakhar
Real Madrid supporters need not lose heart. The tie isn't over as yet. There are still 90 mins to be played. The one team capable if beating Barcelona at camp nou us Los blancos. They have the players , they have the manager. They just need a push and will to attack the opponents on the counter. It will be foolish to have defensive mentality against a team like Barcelona be it at home or away. Madrid need to play their natural game,i.e attacking football. They have the incentive, the motivation , the skill, they just need to display that on the field. My tip to madridstas, Dont be scared of Barcelona. Be scared of tour own wrong doings. Again supposed to be brilliant. Have the link if someone wants. PMed the links of both to you. IMO Charlton's documentary is better among the two. I read a lot about him on forums, but hearing about him from his family and other players and a certain German who marked him in 1966 .. tears rolling down my cheeks and my office mates who saw me were

A possibilty of Real going through, yes!! But realistically, no!! I mean Ramos & Pepe are suspended... PEPE... a f**ckin' beast who had Messi in his pocket throughout this Clasico series... He single-handedly killed all of Barca's attacking moves during these couple of weeks... Leave Ramos aside, Pepe's absence alone could hurt Real... A lot!! If Valdes gets injured in these couple of days, then... Edited April 29, 2011 by Madhav

Mel81x
I think when it comes to United its all about a mixture of luck, perseverance and just have a team that works as a system and not always an individual. I don't necessarily think they were the best on paper this year but even if you knick those draws and keep chugging things will materialize for you. The season we almost ran rampant comes to mind and what did us in over there was that we were obliterating top-flight teams but not pacing ourselves for the lower-end teams that's where good teams do a lot better. Simply going out and beating United and gloating over it every season shouldn't be the goal, total domination now that is the goal.

PS-If UEFA was run by biased people(as you say) then a rich club like Real Madrid would surely pull some strings and get things done their own way.... Aside from those related to Mourinho, UEFA also announced today Madrid will answer charges relating to the throwing of missiles, a pitch invasion and Pepe's red card. Barca will face just one charge after substitute goalkeeper Jose Pinto was shown a red card during a half-time melee. wont say if its intentional bias or not, but a "governing body" which responds like that to a piss poor game (and honestly, besides Messi's magic, the game was pathetic and disgraceful).; is not a capable body for sure. i aint a madrid supporter by far, hell after barca thats the team i dislike most, but as a football supporter to see Barca get away scot free after that game is a travesty
