The Milan v/s Roma game was like a game of 2 halves. Roma had 3-4 clear chances in the first half and couldn't take any of them. Credit must be given to Abbiati thought for some terrific saves. Milan themselves were quite wasteful in the 2nd half. I doubt Roma will be able to finish in the top 4 this year.

Manchester United vs Chelsea

The playoff for the Premier League - Today. 2030 hrs IST. Old Trafford, Manchester

It doesn't get bigger than this for a fan supporting either of these clubs; and for the neutrals, this is what they hope to be part of. A Title decider. A history creator.

Its been a great season, and it does come down to this ONE game. The winner of the match most certainly would win the league. If United win, most definitely so. If Chelsea does, the momentum should take them through. And umm, what about a draw. Well. Lets not even think of that.

It will take a very brave heart to predict today's result, though all of us (esp those in the United red and Chelsea blue) have surely picked the side they want to see come out as winners. P.S. Its gonna be United ;)

Though, whoever does come out as winner, one thing is for sure; this has been one hell of a ride. This season has been. Chelsea started out in superb fashion. Scoring goals as fast as Sepp Blatter comes up with weird ideas. And with United stuttering, unable to close out games even from winning positions; (something completely un-united); pundits, those gloriously smart people in suits in front of a camera; had already christened Chelsea champions.

Then something happened behind the scenes, Ray Wilkins was sacked. And Chelsea derailed. And how. For a while it seemed they couldnt score/ win even if Roman pledged all his money to the team. And, somehow United found a most unlikely messiah in Berbatov. Who probably realised that just looking like a godfather (check Andy garcia for reference) doesn't make him acceptable in Manchester. He started scoring goals, Nani found a new lease of life and United were on their way to the promised land of # 19.

Then the year turned and Chelsea, staring at that time into the really really dark end of the barrel; looked to buy their own salvation in Torres. It didn't work. Soon United had a 15 points lead over Chelsea and those same pundits now called it a two horse race, without either of the horses favoring blue. And just as everything in Chelsea camp seemed blue (pun intended); United came to cross the bridge, took an early lead just to see a new Chelsea favorite with striking similarity to a certain Sideshow Bob; become the center of the show. Chelsea won. And the tides they changed.

Drogba was back in form, defense stopped leaking stupid goals and even Mr. Torres scored one! At the same time, their European travels seemed to be taking their toll on United as we promptly let a healthy lead slip.

And now we stand here. With this one match to rule them all.

United have it in their hands, still but just barely. And though we do have a Final at Wembley to look forward to, if; and i cant even bear the thought of that if; we don't win the #19 here; it would kill many of us.

For Chelsea, the stakes are a little higher. This is their only hope for a silverware; and maybe Mr Ancelotti's last chance to save his Chelsea career.

Both teams though, can be proud of the season. United for having been, in view of *cough* those pundits *cough*; a very 'weak squad'/ 'pale in comparisons to earlier United teams' ; yet having the best record in Champions League and being on top of the league till now.

And Chelsea. Well, if they do end up winning this; it would be the single biggest comeback in Premier league history. They have shown a lot of mental fortitude and courage to not let go and keep fighting. The two qualities, or lack thereof, that have resulted in this write-up not mentioning a certain other team from London.

The game promises to be one nervous affair. Hell i couldnt sleep beyond 7 am on a Sunday morning, cause i am already sh*ting bricks! Hopefully, when we do start fighting post match, the topic isn't about a refereeing decision. That would be a shame. Cause this title-decider deserves to be won on a piece of brilliance. A long range Lampard screamer or a clever lob over the goal keeper by Sir Ryan Giggs.

I can't wait for it. I will probably die of heart ache before it.

Bring it on. May the best team win. And may that team be Manchester United.

Today, Manu has got so much to lose & so much to win... A win could ensure #19, creating a history!! The Morale of lifting #19 would definitely prove to be decisive at Wembley. But, a loss could not only destroy the hopes of creating a new history, but also blow the air out of the high flying united blip which would even make the Wembley final a little one sided.

Chelsea on the other hand has got nothing to lose, but so much more to win. This is the point where I can't even believe we are playing a match for premiership... A couple of months back I was preparing myself for a Europa disarray next season... & now I'm rooting my team to lift the premiership cup... Wow!! I'm proud already. If/Once we win this match, I'll stand up and salute the spirit & courage of the Blue... & god forbid if we lose, I'll still have my head held high & congratulate Manu because if there's any team who is worthy of winning the title this year, then its either Chelsea or Manu!!

May the best team win!

I dont think even if we lose this match,we are fully off the title.. It just makes things much more closer. Its not like if man utd lose,Chelsea takes it but if chelsea loses, man utd takes it. Man utd still have 3 more easy games to go which i seriously think we will be able to make up for the if loss situation..

and also losing this doesn't make wembley one sided by anyway,it will just make the players concentrate more and make them play in a willingness to get that silverware.
