the_BIG_J
Erm... I am in UK right now... BTW isnt there 3D football in India yet? What about Tata Sky? I really hope Tata Sky implements 3D for football matches. IT WAS ORGASMIC. And I am not kidding. Hell inspite of being a United supporter I just stood there seeing the remainder of the Barca celebrations because it was so good in 3D. When the shiny ribbon thingies (don't know what they are called ) were floating on screen, the 3D effect made me feel as if they were coming at me. In one word, Brilliant!!! Edit: f**k I forgot it was HD that was introduced recently in India and not 3D. Come on Tata. Use the sky expertise and implement 3D here... sounds surreal, cant wait for it to get here!!!.. Still in awe of Barca's performance. United are unlucky to face Barca in their last two finals. anyone else and the odds would have been with United Dont really know how spanish teams prepare for a league game against this team week in week out thats why I rank Jose as the master tactician, he is simply brilliant....watch next year will be reals year, provided they hold on to their stars, not that the special one cant manage without em, it will be that much easier!! Mel81x
How can you not either laugh or go wow at what happened yesterday? I said in the first half that with that Rooney goal all that united would need would be to hold on till the end of the second half and that would have given them a chance to win it. Sadly, Villa and Messi had other plans and the midfield yesterday for Barca is where the game was won. Simply dynamite passing. At one point when the commentator said "unless they can do a liverpool", I gagged on my drink and then started laughing hysterically. shekdown
Man Utd got totally schooled yesterday. Absolutely schooled. Outplayed them everywhere. Even their offside goal could not save them from embarrassment. Barca just toooo good.

prakhar
We were beaten by better team on the night.nevertheless Manchester united played well in the first half.second half was poor performance by us.united for life !!
prakhar
So the incredible season comes to an end. Onwards and upwards. This season will always be "the one with the 19th". The only sad part is that this was not the send-off we could have given the Jolly Green Giant. Onwards and upwards . Chin up, lads.
Nemo
was watching the replay again this morning, after seeing the xavi-inesta masterclass: say what ever, messi aint messi w/o xavi and inesta, the most under appreciated players in barca lineup; so i was wondering, how would have i loved to see a makelele in this prime going against barca midfield of today. mouth watering indeed. makelele

When you have players with close passing abilities its all about how the man at the top of the defensive lineup does the pre-lining for the defensive players. You look at a very good CB (eg. Vidic) and then you see the players in front of him and you ask yourself whether they could have stopped a W or even a triangle passing system because the CB is the last man between the goal-keeper and a possible goal. Makelele imo is still a very good benchamark to go by when it comes to a DMF/CMF but today's DMF plays more of an enforcer role and it truly does no justice to the kind of attacks teams dish out today. Diarra did a good job for Real when they played Barca and so did Pepe but that control and pass element was still missing because along with shielding the defensive line from taking the ball and forcing attacking players to trip up, the DMF should be able to create distributive play as well. Ah Xabi why in the world did we ever let you go. I'd sell a million players like Torres for one Alonso because when times are tough and you need that creative spark, someone like that can truly make a difference.
