shekdown
Bull crap Nasri deserves 100k. Maybe if he played for Chelsea or Man Utd they'd be deluded enough to offer him that wage. He had a superb half season, after which he did eff all on the pitch. Hes a world class player but its evident that he thinks hes as good as Fabregas which he is clearly not. Id rather let him go. Whether its to Man Utd or Barca, it doesnt matter. Ive lost a little respect for him, irrespective of whether he signs or not. He has 12 months of his contract left. If he doesnt sign, the sensible thing would be to sell him. I said this on another forums a while back and said it again after the CC Final defeat. Arsene's policy has backfired. Players who he trusted and handed huge contracts to have failed him. They never earned their contracts, he simply offered them to the players because of whatever belief he had in them. He was proved wrong. Its clear he needs to build his team around players who wear their badges on their sleeves and not on their wallets. Build a team around Chesney, Vermaelen, Wilshere, Walcott and Van Persie. A difference will be seen. These guys will be in it for the long haul and these are the ones who will make a difference to the club.
Madhav
Nasri bull crap for 100k??! He is already been offered a 90k.. So, if he is bull crap for 100k then he is definitely crap for 90k... Nasri knows he wont get 110k.. he is baiting for an extra 10k.. and letting him go for just that, is sad!! He has blossomed into a great player... One of the few who gave Arsenal the dreams past season...
hope
Nasri no doubt is a fantastic player but sometimes he just gets bogged down when in pressure and has no impact in the game.i would rather have Arshavin in the team but first he needs to take energy pills bcoz he becomes so lazy sometimes that u feel like smacking him. Also i havent understood walcots role in the team,he starts every game so brightly and after 25-30 mins it all puffs off in the air and has no impact on the game eventually leading to him being substituted.Walcots role in the team has to be re-thinked. Also I fear for Ramsey as well he is not a Cesc Fabregas, dont put him in that league at the moment.just let him play freely.Dont pressurize him by saying that he is the next fabregas or something else.just let him do his things. armaan
dont really want him at united...cause if we do get him he will play as CM player and im hoping for someone better then him to be signed and if SAF puts him on the wings he is going to have a tough time competing with nani and valencia who i think are better then him..hope he goes to spain

One of the few who gave Arsenal the dreams past season... 90k is still too much for Nasri. He doesnt deserve that much either. Hes obviously table 90k after long set of negotiations where he wants more. The club has gone beyond what he deserves and offered 90k and he still wants more. He doesnt deserve that much. Believe me, if you think he has a greater impact on the team than Van Persie, Fabregas or Vermaelen, you couldnt be more wrong. One of the few who gave arsenal dreams past season? What are you no about? Some kind of psychological crap? Clubs always go on irrespective of a player. The player should never be bigger than the club. And Nasri is a joke to put ahead of the club. Atleast Cesc has devoted years and passion to this club and has always been a 100% professional. Like I said before, Nasri is an excellent player but not one who should on par with the wages of the world's best players(avoiding the salary structure of Chelsea and Man City who throw around wages like peanuts). Half a good season and he think hes Fabregas. The only person who has an explanation to that is Nasri.
supersim
maybe the kid s dying for a trophy . Better trophy chances + fatter pay . Dont see why anyone wouldnt want that . Nasri was way better than fabregas this season .
shekdown
Nice little logic you got going there. Denilson was better than Essien this season. Therefore Denilson > Essien.

shekdown
Your post was in response to mine saying that Nasri isnt as good as Fabregas. You said Nasri was better than Fabregas this season implying he deserves a better pay or equal pay as Cesc for the rest of his contract 5 yrs or 8 yrs. Which basically means your trying to say hes going to be as good as Fabregas if not better for the next 5-8 years because of half a season, most of which Cesc was injured for. I dont have bad deducing skills. You just have poor writing or analytical skills. I really dont have time to waste explaining why Nasri's half season does not mean hes now a better player than Cesc. shekdown
Your absolutely right. Im not denying it. Like Ive already said twice. Nasri is a superb player and it would be a loss to the club. But its the manner he is behaving that is baffling. 90k a week is incredible. RvP receives that kind of money and he is better than Nasri and has been at the club for yeaaaarrs now. Nasri has barely been with us for 3 years and is already demanding top wages? He had half a good season. Yes, he was excellent, but he wasnt even our best player this season. Wilshere was. And Id honestly put RvP ahead of Nasri simply because he performed his heart out even when the team was playing crap, in the last 2-3 months. Im not saying Nasri will never deserve that kind of wages. He clearly doesnt deserve those kind of wages now. Irrespective of whether the club gives him that or not. Infact, 90k a week is still too much for him. Also, his behaviour is not right. Hes holding the club ransom. It would set a bad trend, if the club accepts. Every person who plays well would start asking for exorbitant wages.
lazycod3r
I think we are being too harsh on Nasri here .... Cesc & Nasri are too good not to be winning any trophies when they are in their prime, not that I compare these two players as they are much different. He certainly had a better season than Cesc and 110k a week is not too much by Nasri's standard considering that players who are inferior to him talentwise get much higher paychecks at other clubs. And its not like we are winning trophies or look anywhere near winning one, sadly Wenger is making this club to a feeder club where youngsters want to showcase their talent for a few years and then move to major clubs where they can actually win trophies. It is Wenger who has to go but sadly he will stay here and we will lose our best players this summer . I think we would end up buying some players from the French Ligue 1 like Hazard etc., not expecting any good signings from the EPL. Just hoping that Spurs lose Modric , otherwise they have a good chance of overtaking us next season

The Assassin
According to the Mumbai Mirror: September sojourn: Messi & Tevez to play Venezuela in Kolkata GETTING TO watch Lionel Messi and Carlos Tevez play in front of them would have been a distant dream for the football fans in India. But come September, that dream would turn into a reality when the star-studded Argentine team would lock horns with the Venezuelan national team in an international friendly at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata. The match, which has been arranged by Celebrity Management Group (CMG),would be played on a FIFA date which means that all the players would be released by their respective clubs for the tie.We have signed an agreement with the sports management company to get the entire star-studded team at the Salt Lake stadium. And we have received an official confirmation from the FIFA for the same, Indian Football Federation (IFA) general secretary Utpal Ganguly told Mumbai Mirror yesterday. Earlier the fate of match was hanging in balance with the West Bengal Sports Minister Madan Mitra saying that the Salt Lake Stadium is not in a good shape and the city might miss out on an chance to watch Messi in action. But Ganguly confirmed that all the controversies are behind them and the IFA are working on war footing to get the stadium ready for the high-profile fixture. There were lot of rumours that the match being cancelled but that is not going to happen. We are well on schedule to hold the match.Stadium seating was a concern but we are working on it.A team from FIFA would visit the stadium on July 1 to assess the facilities, Ganguly added. DETAILS THIS WEEK IFA would make an official confirmation this week and would also declare the logistic details of the game. They have managed to rope in a big sponsor, who will be paying the appearence fees of both the teams. The ticket rates too have been kept a reasonable between Rs 700-5000 so that the one lakh capacity Yuba Bharati Krirangan is jam-packed for the high-octane Latin American duel.Ganguly is optimistic that everything goes on smoothly and Kolkata people get to see the likes of Messi and Tevez. I hope nothing goes wrong. This tie would help Indian football a lot as this would be the first high-profile match in India,if we manage to hold this successfully it would open gates for many more such matches, Ganguly added. After playing on September 2,the Argentines are expected to play Nigeria on September 6 in Dhaka.
