AngerSmash
yep. 5 year deal for Young. From the official site 16-20 mn pounds deal it seems. Also, Berba shall hold talks about his future this week. As per the agent, he "wants to stay". i hope he doesnt go. He is a good option if rooney is not available. heck, he was the top scorer in the league. but still is he needed? not seeing any point in buying him Edited June 23, 2011 by AngerSmash
Nemo
Anyone read about JCT? http://www.goal.com/en-india/news/1064/i-league/2011/06/21/2540957/i-league-jct-deciding-to-shut-shutters-is-a-big-shock-to Shocking and just terrible news yeah saw that in paper yday. Pretty sad really, first Mahindra utd and now this. As a guy who has never ventured beyond Madhya Pradesh, this in a way kills all and any incentive to watch indian football. no club from north india :| india s performance today sucked state of football in india is terrible . sigh . cant BCCI make a handsome donation ? hope
I swear to God if I become a successful man I would do everything to improve the state of Indian football... ha yaar it pains a lot when ur own country is in a pretty sorry state in consideration to football where there are numerous football fans like us. even if someone wants to take up football as a profession like i wanted to,there is no scope for it.everybody here advised not to take football as future is uncertain hence many like me back out without researching further. BCCI has lot lot lot lots of money, please invest some in this beautiful game.I plead.
vignesh90
HUGE fight broke out after Santos' Copa Libertadores victory over Penerol.... Your profile pic. Love it. For the HerbalLife \m/ About A.Young, only time will tell. The following reasons make me skeptical 1. He has been under performing compared to his own standards in the last season. 2. Also, I don't know what this new trend in BPL is all about? Inside out Wingers? Like for eg, Young is right footed and plays left wing. He cuts in more than he crosses. So he is like a 60% winger ? Now is that what United want? Wait a minute, Even if they do Isn't that what Nani has been doing for them? 3. His position, who is going to be dropped Nani or Valencia. Both players in good form and can't play out of position. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Young play as a second striker. This might be the replacement Fergie got in for Berba who is most likely to leave

Luka Modric is yet another classic example of a an inside out midfielder. Didn't I mention about the trend of such players? They're in demand! Mel81x
Guilty of being a 3 or a 5!!! 3 and a 4 here while I am on the forums. I am almost tipping into 6 in real-life lol. shekdown
Out and out wingers are dying breed in football these days because they are too predictable and easy to handle. The strategy might work in a couple of games across the season, but if you want to stick to that strategy, its suicide. You can guarantee 1 person being marked out of the game by a good defender. For clarification purposes, Valencia is an out and out winger and is so one dimensional, he borders on boring. Ive read elsewhere that Sir Alex has been trying to get him to cut in more often, but he doesnt do it too well. Ashley Young signing is required more than ever for Man Utd, considering Giggs is another year older and closer to retirement and looks like Park is on his way out(he shouldnt imo). SchneideR
What's with this news of Ricardo Alvarez to Arsenal? Any truth in it???
shekdown
Im not sure. The football forums that I normally use has been down for the last 4-5 days, Ive not been in touch with the guys who are close to the Emirates. I dont normally trust the tabloids and Alvarez was apparently agreed to be signed before the season finished, then didnt get a permit, then we didnt complete the transfer and now apparently we've signed him again. Ill update here soon as I hear something. From what Ive seen of him(few videos posted on arsenal blogs) he looked quite good. If hes signed, he'd probably be the replacement for Fabregas, plays in similar, slightly advanced role.
